The Top Thirteen Interesting Characters of Stephen King

(The Stranger Things intro plays as Different letters outlined in Red are shown as the letters outlined in red come together to form “The Last Of The Americans” before fading away to James in his office.)
TLOTA:
I’m James Faraci The Last Of The Americans and the views that I’m about to express are that of my own and some of yours. (Cut to images of Stephen King as James Does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
I've been waiting to talk about Stephen King for a while but I can no longer hold back. This year alone he has quite a few of his works adapted to the big screen and one reimagined one that has done very well for itself at the box office. But what people remember primarily from these adaptations are the clichés, the silliness of the nature of these adaptations and of course The Characters and today whether they be Psychic or Psychotic, Normal or Neurotic and just so you're aware not all of Stephen King's works were scary so I'm going to give the characters that weren't in the horror section of King's works a fair shake as well. With that in mind I am counting down the top 13 Interesting Characters of the works of Stephen King. (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
Why 13? Because the Psychic felt that fourteen would be too many! These are the top 13 interesting Characters from the one and only Stephen King! (Cut to a hypnowheel with Orange and Black as Stephen King is in the center as the final lyrics and chorus of "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger plays in the background as different characters from Stephen King's Mini-Series and Movies play in the background before cutting to the title of "The Top 13 Interesting Characters of Stephen King" before the number is left)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 13

13) Billy Halleck from "Thinner"
(Cut to the "Thinner" adaptation as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
When we first see Billy he's nice guy a little overweight and a tough as nails lawyer but after he gets a curse that drives his weight down and his insanity up by a Native American he had done wrong to well then I admit he does become more fun to watch. So by the end when he kills his wife with a poisoned Strawberry Pie and then himself and by accident his own kid you know he had gone through the Stephen King insanity course and he was done. But seeing a man getting eaten up by a curse and his own guilt for what he'd done is kind of disturbing in its own right but to see his sanity get eaten in the process is even more disturbing. But you've got to admit the journey of this character is so enjoyable he is truly listworthy.

(Cut to a hypnowheel with Orange and Black as Stephen King is in the center as the final lyrics and chorus of "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger plays in the background and the number is shown.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 12

12) William "Bill" Robinson from "Maximum Overdrive"
(Cut to the "Maximum Overdrive" adaptation as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
To say that this guy is the voice of reason in a world where a truck with Green Goblin's face had gained sentience in a movie Stephen King himself directed and had AC/DC for its soundtrack YOU KNOW STEPHEN KING IS THE ONLY ONE ENJOYING THIS CRAZINESS! But in all honesty Bill Robinson had to be this because in a world where ATMs call people A-Holes you have to be loud enough to make people do as you tell them and they need to do and they will follow. Bill does it with the subtlety one could have in something like this and that makes Bill good enough to get off probation and make it onto my list.

(Cut to a hypnowheel with Orange and Black as Stephen King is in the center as the final lyrics and chorus of "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger plays in the background and the number is shown.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 11

11) Arnold "Arnie" Cunningham and "Christine" from "Christine"
(Cut to the "Christine" adaptation as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
This poor kid couldn't catch a break worth a damn. His parents treat him like crap, his teachers give him Tsouris and with the exception of his friend and his girl everyone hates him. Oh wait that's not enough, let's toss in a possessed 1958 Plymouth Fury called Christine that makes Arnie go cuckoo for cocoa puffs and the car is a Killing machine that is virtually unstoppable. I'm not even kidding on this. They light that sucker up, hit it with a bulldozer, they crush it with a car crusher reducing it to a gigantic paperweight and by the end of the movie, it starts to restore itself. As for Arnie, it made him nuttier than Enzo Amore and if you think he can be redeemed, his car tosses him out of the windshield and he dies instantaneously when a shard of Christine's windshield gets him in the throat. Killing him on impact. Poor schmuck! According to producer Richard Kobritz he was attracted to the story because it was a  "celebration of America's obsession with the motorcar." Well if that's the case then guess what Richard I'd take public transit to keep Arnie and Christine! But together they are truly one of Stephen King's Interesting characters.

(Cut to a hypnowheel with Orange and Black as Stephen King is in the center as the final lyrics and chorus of "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger plays in the background and the number is shown.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 10

10) Ben Richards from "The Running Man"
(Cut to the Arnold Schwarzenegger adaptation as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
I know that  the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie is the one adaptation the furthest away from the tone and original story by Stephen King but is it entertaining in all the right and wrong ways but this is the only time we'll see Arnold Schwarzenegger do something close to an actual movie based on a book and yeah its more Arnold's usual fare but what makes it interesting is this one moment between Killian played by the late Richard Dawson and Ben. (Show clip of Killian making Ben Richards the offer of him joining The Running Man as part of the Stalkers and Ben Richards threatening to END Killian before cutting to James physically)

TLOTA:
Survey Says... (Cut to an image of Killian and a Family Feud Ding is heard as the words "Pants To Be Darkened" appear before cutting to more clips of "The Running Man" as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
While it may not be 100% Accurate to the source material I do have to say if it's a movie that you just want to simply want to shut your higher functions in terms of heavy thinking well I'll let Ben simply say what it does.

Ben Richards:
Now that hit the spot!

(Cut to a hypnowheel with Orange and Black as Stephen King is in the center as the final lyrics and chorus of "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger plays in the background and the number is shown.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 9

9) Jud Crandall from "Pet Sematary"
(Cut to the "Pet Sematary" adaptation as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
What I liked about Jud was the fact he talked straight, he was likable and he had a charm that made it all the more heartbreaking when little Gage who comes back from the dead and tells us how he "Played" with Jud which included a Scalpel, Jud's Achilles Tendon and Jud's throat! There was something there that I could connect with. Whether it was just Jud's attitude towards certain things or how he was trying to help the Creed Family. I actually liked the guy! He was so interesting, I couldn't bury the guy in the Cemetery without praising him as an interesting character.

(Cut to a hypnowheel with Orange and Black as Stephen King is in the center as the final lyrics and chorus of "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger plays in the background and the number is shown.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 8

8) Craig Toomey from "The Langoliers"
(Cut to the "The Langoliers" miniseries as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Whoo boy! This guy was a pisser. He wanted to get to a meeting in Boston. When the crew and others save for a few people are caught in a paranormal phenomenon, he couldn't care for all the Lobster in Maine. Of course from the backstory, his father was such an ass who got angry that he called Craig a bum because he got an A Minus! No wonder Craig went wackadoo when this incident happened but he was so entertainingly interesting he was list worthy! Especially when he was scaring the little girl! (Cut to Craig Toomey shouting "SCARING THE LITTLE GIRL?!)

(Cut to a hypnowheel with Orange and Black as Stephen King is in the center as the final lyrics and chorus of "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger plays in the background and the number is shown.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 7

7) Jack Torrance from "The Shinning"
(Cut to clips of the 1980 version and the 1997 TV Miniseries as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
While the only good thing from the 1997's TV Miniseries was how Jack went from normal to psycho. There is a reason Jack Nicholson's version of the character is Iconic! This was Jack Nicholson in one of his best performances and it showed how Kubrick got Jack to understand the mind as it slowly self destructs within its own limits. While King never liked the Kubrick version and I understand why. Kubrick is an acquired taste and you have to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy it and I enjoy it when I am in the right frame of mind, the performance is enjoyable! But I like both versions of this character to make Jack be on this list.

(Cut to a hypnowheel with Orange and Black as Stephen King is in the center as the final lyrics and chorus of "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger plays in the background and the number is shown.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 6

6) Isaac Chroner From "Children Of The Corn"

(Cut to the 1984 Children Of The Corn adaptation as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
What is the best way to describe this character? Imagine The Master in "Manos: The Hands Of Fate" except a fraction of the size and age who convinced everyone to kill the adults in their town all for the corn! WOW! On paper he sounds like someone who needs to be punished by his parents for doing what he did. But knowing the actor who played Isaac was in his twenties makes it even crazier and over the movie's run time he just makes every moment so hilariously funny even as he's sacrificed to "He who walks behind the rows" and trust me when I say the sacrifice is the most hilarious moment in entire movie! While yes Isaac does return a few sequels later, I have to say I now know why he was able to convince everyone to slaughter everyone over the age of 18 that day but yeah if everyone was like Isaac, I don't think I'd be here right now!

(Cut to a hypnowheel with Orange and Black as Stephen King is in the center as the final lyrics and chorus of "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger plays in the background and the number is shown.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 5

5) Randall Flagg from "The Stand"
(Cut to clips of "The Stand" miniseries as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Jamey Sheridan's portrayal of Randall Flagg in the long Miniseries of "The Stand" is possibly one of the reasons everyone remembers the character of Randall Flagg even though from what has been known of the character he's in several of Stephen King's novels. But the way Jamey played it, the best way I can describe it is... Imagine a southern preacher trying to sell you life insurance and a golden ticket to heaven. That would be Jamey Sheridan's portrayal of Randall Flagg. Though anyone who has read and known Stephen King's works know how Randall Flagg is. Though I do give Jamey credit for convincing Stephen King to try to be the character and if you can get Stephen King to say yes Play one of my most Iconic characters. But what about a more recent adaptation from "The Dark Tower" movie. Let me point out what's wrong with that portrayal. Matthew McConaughey as Randall Flagg! (Cut to James playing with a Jack-In-A-Box as "Pop Goes The Weasel" plays in the foreground as the word "Uber-Fail" pops up out of the box!)

(Cut to a hypnowheel with Orange and Black as Stephen King is in the center as the final lyrics and chorus of "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger plays in the background and the number is shown.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 4

4) John Coffey from "The Green Mile"
(Cut to "The Green Mile" as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
I felt I had to put him on the list. He was so harmless and so innocent so knowing he was being put on death row for a murder he didn't commit was heartbreaking. However we see through him a journey that redeems the hardest of guards who work Death Row. He has mystical abilities to heal people of their problems physical. Even making the demented Percy Wetmore the source of justice for the kids John was accused and sentenced to death for by making Percy waste the guy and Percy wound up in the wacky shack. But the fact he faced the end on the electric chair with dignity and knowing everyone does eventually has to meet their end. That was made the character great and the performance by the late Michael Clark Duncan proved beyond all doubt he was the reason why. I cried when I saw Paul Edgecomb played by Tom Hanks as he placed the medal John Coffey and seeing the big man with the two girls as a sign John Coffey is up there with them made me love the character all the more. John, When it is my time I hope you are there to greet me with open arms.

(Cut to a hypnowheel with Orange and Black as Stephen King is in the center as the final lyrics and chorus of "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger plays in the background and the number is shown.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 3

3) "Pennywise the Clown" from "IT"
(Cut to clips of the 2017 version and the 1990 TV Miniseries as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
As much as the new version maybe scary, I'm going to go to the original performer who played the character in the Miniseries because... Let's face it Tim Curry as Pennywise was just so memorable for a reason! He has such a charisma he put into Pennywise it makes everything Pennywise does feel more entertaining so when his true form is revealed well you know that IT has hit the fan! While we will see the Bill Skarsgard version return in a sequel and I wish him the best in his attempt to be better than the best one so far. (Cut to the Prince Albert joke done by Pennywise performed by Tim Curry)

(Cut to a hypnowheel with Orange and Black as Stephen King is in the center as the final lyrics and chorus of "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger plays in the background and the number is shown.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 2

2) Psychics (Cut to all of the psychics from Stephen King's adaptations as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover)
From which adaptation? Take your pick! There are so many psychics I had no other option but to lump them all into one spot. They're practically a staple of Stephen King's works and adaptations. We have them as little kids, teenagers and adults. So instead of naming one and putting them in the number two spot, I decided to give them all this spot so they can enjoy using their mental abilities without using them to hurt me! So enjoy being the greatest human characters in all of Stephen King's works and they know it because they've read my mind as to what is...

(Cut to a hypnowheel with Orange and Black as Stephen King is in the center as the final lyrics and chorus of "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger plays in the background and the number is shown.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
The number one most interesting character in all of Stephen King's works

1) MAINE! (Cut to Images of Maine as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
This is not a gag! Stephen King has used the State of Maine SO often that it has become a character in a good portion of Stephen King's works. I've been to Maine it is a nice place for a vacation! I've had one of the best Pizzas outside of New York State in Maine! I've had some of the best Lobster in the state of Maine. I've had some great deep salt water fishing trips in the state of Maine. Yet for Stephen King a ton of his stories are so entrenched in the State Of Maine it doesn't surprise me that as far as I'm concerned everything about the state is in a way it's own unique Character in Stephen King's universe. So congrats Maine you are The Number one interesting Character of Stephen King! (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
If there's one I missed, name them in the comment section, there's plenty to go around. For now I've got an obligation to attend to! I'm James Faraci The Last Of The Americans and That's my opinion!

The Different Cuts of Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers

(The Stranger Things intro plays as Different letters outlined in Red are shown and the names “James Faraci”, “Rebecca Yaun”, “Nick Yaun”, “Paulo Fonseca”, “Brenda Fonseca”, “Olivia Horvath”, “Ed Champion”, “Renee Miller”, “John Ross Santos”, “Mike Santos”, “Andrew Beach” are shown in White as the letters outlined in red come together to form “The Last Of The Americans” before fading away to James in his office.)
TLOTA:
I’m James Faraci The Last Of The Americans and the views that I’m about to express are that of my own and some of yours and Welcome to another edition of “The Different Cuts” (Cut to The entire team as they are armed with Chainsaws and Double Barreled 12 Gauge Shotguns as Hordes of Zombies come their way and everyone on Team “TLOTA” hack and slash their way through them all with different body parts and blood spelling out “The Different Cuts” as the final Chorus from “Don’t Stop Me Now” covered by Darren Criss plays in the background before cutting to clips from the first “Halloween” movie play as James does a voiceover.)
TLOTA (Voiceover):
The original 1978 Halloween movie directed by John Carpenter started the slasher film craze of the 1980’s and 1990’s and while Halloween II was as good as the first it should’ve ended there but sadly it didn’t. While the third movie tried to turn the franchise into an anthology series audience backlash forced producers to bring Michael Myers back and sadly the quality of the sequels kept going downhill so by the time the sixth one came out in 1995 the franchise was on its last legs! Having gone through hell the Original Producers Cut which was very dark and controversial and never got a theatrical release. The one we got was possibly one of the dumbest, unoriginal and yet somehow underrated movies in the entirety of the “Halloween” movies. Not even Rob Zombie’s reimagining of the original and the sequel that suceeded it can claim it is that damn good. But eventually in 2014 the original Producer’s Cut got a Blu-Ray release and Hoo boy are we in for it now! (Cut to James physically)
TLOTA:
I never thought I’d say this but I’m keeping the biggest spoiler OUT of this one when we talk about this movie and find out if the Theatrical or Producers’ version is the better cut of Halloween 6. Let’s start off as we usually do as we find out what and if this movie has a plot. (Cut to the covers of The Producers’ cut and The Theatrical Cut of “Halloween 6” as the 1978 “Halloween” theme plays in the background before a knife comes between the two covers and the words “The Plot” are spouted out in blood before cutting to both versions of Halloween 6 as James does a voiceover.)
TLOTA (Voiceover):
Set several years after Halloween 5, young Jamie Lloyd (Unenthusiastic Ha-Ha) is pregnant and gives birth to a baby which is taken by a cult but both mother and child escape with Michael Myers on the hunt for both. Meanwhile Dr. Loomis returns to find a way to stop Michael and this cult and protect the baby who is found by Tommy Doyle played by Paul Rudd in one of his first acting roles before becoming a Seth Rogen/Judd Apatow/Adam McKay regular player and of course “ANT-MAN” after they kill off Jamie Lloyd and we discover that the Strode family sans Laurie has moved into the Myers home.  (Cut to James physically)
TLOTA:
So, which one used this plot better? Well neither one. (Cut to clips of both versions of Halloween 6 as James does a voiceover.)
TLOTA (Voiceover):
Okay so let me clear up how and which one of these cuts are going to be point worthy. The moment must be either the least annoying or most tolerable element in the plot and while the original Producers’ cut clears up who the father of Jamie Lloyd’s baby is, something I’ll never reveal here but sufficive to say that because the plot in the Producers’ cut was more coherent I have to give the point to the Producers’ cut because quite honestly that’s all this version has going for it so far. (Cut to James physically)
TLOTA:
So the Producers’ version draws first blood in this battle.  (Cut to the covers of The Producers’ cut and The Theatrical Cut of “Halloween 6” as the 1978 “Halloween” theme plays in the background before a knife comes between the two covers and a drop of blood lands on the cover of the Producers’ cut of Halloween 6 before cutting back to James physically)
TLOTA:
So now we discover which one of these two were edited better and by better, I mean less excruciatingly painful to sit through. (Cut to the covers of The Producers’ cut and The Theatrical Cut of “Halloween 6” as the 1978 “Halloween” theme plays in the background before a knife comes between the two covers and the word “Editing” are spouted out in blood before cutting to both versions of Halloween 6 as James does a voiceover.)
TLOTA (Voiceover):
I have to say the editing in both versions are atrocious. I guess it has to do with the fact that the Original Producers Cut was so negatively received by test audiences that they had to re-edit it in order to make sense or how they perceived it to make sense. The Theatrical cut took out huge chunks of subplots. One of which being the Cult and How Michael Myers was in fact the Lackey of Winn the supposed “True villain” of the movie, Footage of Dr. Loomis and the proposed ending of the original movie which would’ve had Loomis become Michael’s caretaker and Michael taking off his trademarked costume and becoming the figure in the Black coat thus giving way for more sequels with Donald Pleasence which never came to pass due to Donald Pleasence’s passing. But the fact the editing of the Producers’ cut puts a lot more into why and how the movie was the way it was. (Cut to James physically)
TLOTA:
So, it goes without saying that the Original Producers’ cut is the far superior cut. Why is that? (Cut to clips of both versions of Halloween 6 as James does a voiceover.)
TLOTA (Voiceover):
Because not only does this enhance the plot of the Producers’ cut even though the death scenes in the Theatrical cut is better for the most part, the Producers cut somehow has better flow making it by default the better edited movie. (Cut to James physically)
TLOTA:
Point going to the Producers’ Cut.
(Cut to the covers of The Producers’ cut and The Theatrical Cut of “Halloween 6” as the 1978 “Halloween” theme plays in the background before a knife comes between the two covers and a second drop of blood lands on the cover of the Producers’ cut of Halloween 6 before cutting back to James physically)
TLOTA:
The Producers’ cut is ahead two to nothing but can the theatrical cut gain any ground in this slaughterhouse? We’ll find out after the break. (Power cuts out before returning) ORAC! What happened?
ORAC (Audio only):
I turned on the emergency generator, we are now on limited power until NYSEG can restart the power. (James gets out of his office to check around before coming across everyone else.)
TLOTA:
Guys! What happened? I thought I paid all the bills.
Olivia Horvath:
You did!
Rebecca Yaun:
We tried to contact someone but it’s like something is blocking the signals.
John Ross Santos:
I’ve looked around there’s no devices, no signal blockers, not even a mobile blocking app!
Ed Champion:
Am I the only one who has the Heebie Jeebies?
Andrew Beach:
Ed, It’s the Halloween season, everyone is scared. Granted everyone is more scared by the fact we could be nuked at any second is nothing to sneeze at right now but nothing too scary is gonna happen now.
Paulo Fonseca:
Exactly, I mean it’s not like there’s a mask wearing, weapon wielding maniac lurking in a dark corner.
Nick Yaun:
Well I say we arm ourselves, stay in pairs and if trouble should arise contact everyone. Rebecca you’re with me. (Cut to Rebecca moving next to Nick) Brenda, you’re with Paulo (Cut to Brenda moving over to Paulo before cutting to Rebecca and Nick Yaun) John, you’re with Mike (John and Mike just stand there and shrug their shoulders before cutting to Rebecca and Nick Yaun) Ed, you’re with Andrew (Cut to Andrew shuffling over past Olivia to stand beside Ed and Olivia next to Renee)
Olivia Horvath:
Looks like me and Renee are teaming up and Eric is with James? (Cut to Nick and Rebecca Yaun)
Nick Yaun:
Olivia, you must be Psychic! (Cut to James as Eric stands next to him)
TLOTA:
She told you last December that she was a Psychic Medium! (Cut to everyone except Olivia and James going OH! Before cutting to James and Eric.)
Eric Kurtzke:
Let’s not stand here, let’s get the weapons. (Everyone says “Right” as they separate and the Camera pans to one of the front Window Panels as Lightning shows Michael Myers played by Eric Kurtzke as the Michael Myers reveal music plays before cutting to 0:36-end mark from the theme from the final season of American Gladiators original run play the camera moves back to see James on top of the slab with the words “The Last Of The Americans” on it act as the commercial break intro and return to James as he sits with the rest of his notes and Eric moves around James with a loaded crossbow)
TLOTA:
Eric, you are making me very nervous.
Eric Kurtzke:
How?
TLOTA:
Oh, the fact you have a crossbow that could cause some damage to the uninitiated.
Eric Kurtzke:
Now James quit being so paranoid it’s not like it’s gonna… (The Trigger goes off and the Arrow ricochets around the office before it lands in Nick’s Baseball Bat giving Rebecca center parting in her hair. Cut to James as Eric nervously chuckles and walks out of frame.)
TLOTA:
Don’t go too far, just in case AND FOR THE LOVE OF PEAT MOSS KEEP THE SAFETY ON THE CROSSBOW! Now let’s see, what else do I usually do for comparison between the different cuts of Movies? Oh yeah, The Cast and Characters!  (Cut to the covers of The Producers’ cut and The Theatrical Cut of “Halloween 6” as the 1978 “Halloween” theme plays in the background before a knife comes between the two covers and the word “Cast and Characters” are spouted out in blood before cutting to both versions of Halloween 6 as James does a voiceover.)
TLOTA (Voiceover):
Seeing how many good actors that are in this movie and how they are wasted is not a surprise to me. We have Donald Pleasence in his final performance before his death, Paul Rudd who should thank his lucky stars he had a career after this one, hell one of my favorite actresses many have forgotten about is in this pumpkin Kim Darby who was in the classic version of “True Grit” and for me IS Mattie Ross but in this movie, is Debra Strode who sadly ends up being Michael’s first victim. But everyone seems to remember from both cuts of this movie, is the abusive John Strode. He nearly gets knifed by his grandson for being such an asshole and surprisingly I don’t relate to the asshole, as a matter of fact seeing him die is possibly one of the better moments in both movies. Then there’s the supposed “True Villain” of the movie Dr. Winn. The character was so transparently evil… you know what let me do this (James jumps into the movie as it pauses on Dr. Winn as James pulls out a sharpie and writes “VILLAIN” on Dr. Winn’s forehead.)
TLOTA:
HOW MUCH MORE FREAKING OBVIOUS CAN I MAKE IT?! (Cut to clips of both versions of Halloween 6 as James does a voiceover.)
TLOTA (Voiceover):
But to find out which one is the point worthy of the two. We’re going to break it down as such. Which characters did you like as they die? Well for me the death of John Strode was more graphic and surprisingly more satisfying as Michael Myers electrocuted him in the theatrical cut. But I think I know why Michael was killing off the Strodes. (Cut to Tommy and Kara as they talk about why Michael is attacking The Strodes and Tommy says that if someone is staying in Michael’s family home they are his family from the Producer’s Cut before cutting back to clips of both movies as James does a voiceover)
Then there is the Characters you know are just there to help get Michael into a killing frenzy and quite honestly the deaths are more interesting and less abstract in the Producer’s cut. But while the cult never got theirs in the Producer’s cut the theatrical one does show Winn and the Thorn Cult getting slaughtered but it also has Paul Rudd’s Tommy beat Michael Myers like a government mule. So, it’s a toss-up on which one is the better one but because this is too close to count so I should give the point to both. (Cut to James physically)
TLOTA:
So, with little to no surprise both get the point but the Producer’s cut is ahead 3-1 (Cut to the covers of The Producers’ cut and The Theatrical Cut of “Halloween 6” as the 1978 “Halloween” theme plays in the background before a knife comes between the two covers and a three drops of blood lands on the cover of the Producers’ cut and one drop on the theatrical cut of Halloween 6 before cutting back to James physically)
TLOTA:
Now comes the moment I know neither one should get but one will. Let’s look at both cuts to see which one has The Re-Watch Factor! (Cut to the covers of The Producers’ cut and The Theatrical Cut of “Halloween 6” as the 1978 “Halloween” theme plays in the background before a knife comes between the two covers and the word “The Re-Watch Factor” are spouted out in blood before cutting to both versions of Halloween 6 as James does a voiceover.)
TLOTA (Voiceover):
I’m gonna say it right now, neither cut is worthy of being worth the point. But I will say this about both movies. If you want more of the Original Halloween movie’s vibe then the Producer’s Cut is good for a few reasons. First off, more Donald Pleasence is a plus in this movie even though the director of this movie found Dr. Loomis boring which is a LOAD! Secondly there are more musical cues from the original soundtrack and finally less jump scare music. There’s subtlety, build-up, character development and a twist about the baby’s father which WILL NEVER be mentioned here plus they also did make a more disturbing feature. The Theatrical cut has its own unique feel to it. While it is a mess, it is a somewhat enjoyable mess that somehow finds itself above the bottom of the barrel than the Rob Zombie Remake and Sequel. While yes, I feel no need to give the point to the theatrical cut, I can say it tried but it failed miserably! So, for the mere fact it’s a lot more coherent and feels like a Halloween movie even though it goes off its own rails, I give the Producer’s Cut of Halloween 6 the point making it the superior cut of “The Curse of Michael Myers”. (Cut to James physically)
TLOTA:
The Producer's cut has a total of four points to the one of the theatrical making The Producer's Cut the winning cut of “Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers” (Cut to the covers of The Producers’ cut and The Theatrical Cut of “Halloween 6” as the 1978 “Halloween” theme plays in the background before a knife comes between the two covers and four drops of blood lands on the cover of the Producers’ cut and one drop on the theatrical cut of Halloween 6 before cutting to Tommy Doyle as he bashes both cuts with a lead pipe then cut to James physically as the power goes out once again.)
TLOTA (Audio only):
NOW WHAT? (James grabs a flashlight and looks around in the dark with bolts of lightning striking showing Michael Myers is three arms’ length away)
TLOTA (Audio only):
Brenda? Paulo? Rebecca? Nick? Eric? Renee? John? Mike? Andrew? Ed? Liv? Anyone there? This is so ridiculous, I paid the bills, I mean yeah by the skin of my teeth but at least I got them paid off and everyone else got paychecks. I put what’s left after everything else has been considered into my savings account and hope it adds for when I finally move out of my parent’s place. This is so ridiculous even I can’t fathom how ridiculous it is! (The power returns as James sees everyone looking in total fear.)
TLOTA:
Hey guys! Everything appears to be fine. (Cut to everyone else)
Renee:
Uh James, do you do realize that you got yourself some bad news behind you? (Cut to James)
TLOTA:
No, uh is he friendly? (Cut to everyone else)
Everyone else:
 No! (Cut to James)
TLOTA:
Well then, is it someone we should be afraid of? (Cut to everyone else)
Everyone Else:
 YES! (Cut to James.)
TLOTA:
Just out of curiosity, who is behind me? (Cut to everyone else)
Everyone Else:
 MICHAEL MYERS!
(Cut to James as he turns around to see Michael Myers as the Halloween theme performed by Colin Drum plays in the background from the 0:00-0:49 mark as James gets his left arm cut as he tries to reach for a sonic screwdriver while everyone else runs out leaving James to fend for himself, James runs for his life and Michael Myers lumbers behind James eventually cutting to ORAC’s chamber in which James is tossed to the podium where ORAC is resting and James is getting choked to death by Michael Myers.)
ORAC:
ACCESSING THE TWIST ABOUT YOUNG STEPHEN FROM THE PRODUCER’S CUT OF HALLOWEEN 6: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS
(Cut to the moment in the Producer’s cut of “Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers in which Kara reveals that Michael Myers knocked up his 15 year old niece Jamie Lloyd to produce baby Stephen before cutting to James as he gets angry and gets Michael Myers off his throat!)
TLOTA:
You…Asshole! You…Inhuman beast! You…pile of RAT FECES!  YOU HAD YOUR WAY WITH YOUR FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD NIECE?! YOU SICK SICK BASTARD?! I tried to reason with myself to never mention that moment! I tried to assure myself that the moment never happened! I tried to understand the moment but I understand it perfectly and I think that I now understand and I know you are unsalvageable and I don’t know if you should be allowed forgiveness, peace of mind or just simple redemption, I don’t suppose it really matters anymore You ARE A MONSTER! THAT IS THE ROLE YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO PLAY, SO IT SEEMS THAT I MUST PLAY MINE! THE MAN WHO DESTROYS THE MONSTERS! I’M SENDING YOU TO HELL SCREAMING IN PAIN AS I SHOVE YOU ASS FIRST INTO A WOOD CHIPPER, WHO KNOWS?! MAYBE THE DEVIL WILL GIVE YOU SANCTUARY AND IF HE DOES NOT REMEMBER THIS! YOU ARE NO LONGER WELCOME HERE! THIS REALM IS DEFENDED! I AM JAMES FARACI THE LAST OF THE AMERICANS! AND I NAME YOU THE SHAPELESS!
(James punches Michael Myers through the front door as 0:50-2:59 plays in the foreground as James and Michael Myers trade blows eventually Michael Myers being punched into a lamp post in the parking lot outside James’ studio and falling down at the 1:37 mark and James standing there exhausted before James picks Michael Myers up and snaps both of Michael Myers wrists and continues his attack on Michael Myers and Michael Myers trying to run away from James as he continues his attack until he sees a Wood Chipper used in Street cleaning and forces Michael towards it and James drop kicking him in ass first into the wood chipper and Michael Myers dies screaming in pain before cutting to a semi bloodied James Faraci as everyone else looks to see the shredded bits and pieces of Michael Myers being splattered all over the street!)
John Ross Santos:
Damn dude!
Mike Santos:
Yeesh This is gonna take a while for the state to clean up!
Ed Champion:
Yep and What a way to go!
Andrew Beach:
Nah, jumping into a pool full of flesh hungry piranhas covered in meat! That’s the way for me!
Paulo Fonseca:
Andrew, take it any way you want but you are weird!
Nick Yaun:
Well that little girl in Halloween 6 was right, it’s raining red!
Rebecca Yaun:
Yeah but the little girl was nuts!
Brenda Fonseca:
After seeing this, I realize I should never get on your bad side
Renee Miller:
I just realized, I’m the first black woman to survive a horror movie.
Olivia Horvath:
Nevertheless, you made good on your word. You sent Michael Myers to hell screaming in pain as he died going ass first into a wood chipper!
TLOTA:
I just finished what everyone else started already started!
(Cut to different clips of the Halloween movies with Michael Myers as James does a voiceover)
TLOTA (Voiceover):
As much as there are a few bright spots in this movie franchise, I truly feel this franchise has been ripped, shredded, torn, sliced, diced, massacred, burned, frozen, shattered and broken so badly that the only thing left for it to do is let it die. Although there are rumors of John Carpenter returning to executively produce a new one but to be honest, it may be too little too late for Michael Myers to be saved. Nothing will ever top the original and for as much as they wanted to build on things from the first movie but it should’ve been just a one-off movie for Michael Myers. If there were to have been sequels after the 1978. It should’ve built on the how and why these people became Michael’s targets without going into crazy stuff like a Celtic cult based on the thorn symbol or being into itself to wonder Why Michael became a psychotic killer. Michael is just a psycho, we don’t need too much backstory on Michael. That’s why Rob Zombie’s version of Halloween and its sequel didn’t connect and why this one failed to succeed at all. So, I’m going to ask this one more time, let Michael Myers die already! (Cut to James and everyone else)
TLOTA:
Come on guys let’s get back to the studio. (Everyone else walks away) I’m James Faraci The Last Of The Americans and That’s my opinion! (Cut to an overhead shot of James as he walks away and the camera pulls back to show that blood spatter that was Michael Myers show the sign of the thorn as the audio of the creepy little girl singing “It’s Raining Red” echoes in the background as she sings “It’s Raining Red” echoing even further as it fades to black before cutting to James in the main lobby as he talks on his cell phone.)
TLOTA:
Okay, Yes, Yes, I got it! Well by coincidence it’ll be after I finish my Top 13 Stephen King Characters list and seeing as how I’m leaving the Haunted House for the kiddies that morning and the Haunted Adult Swim Party to the rest of my crew, I’m free that day. I’m always willing to help anyway I can! See you October 31st. Bye! (James shuts off his cell phone and finds Paulo, Rebecca, Nick, Brenda and Olivia in James’ office)
TLOTA:
How did you guys know I needed you? (Cut to Paulo, Nick, Rebecca, Brenda and Olivia in James’ office)
Olivia Horvath:
I sensed you’d call for us? (Cut to James in the doorway)
TLOTA:
Okay. I’ll buy that. Listen can you hold up the fort Halloween, I promised Alex from “Life As A Mermaid”, I’d take Taylor & Marcella to a con in Upstate New York.  (Cut to Paulo, Nick, Rebecca, Brenda and Olivia in James’ Office)
Brenda Fonseca:
Yeah, about that, what do you owe them? (Cut to James in the doorway)
TLOTA:
What I owe them is my respect. They give their best performances and I enjoy that and I want to help them out anyway I can. (James turns to the audience) And the best way you can help is supporting their Patreon, Link Here: https://www.patreon.com/lifeasamermaid so they can bring more great episodes and more great seasons! (James turns back to everyone else before cutting to Paulo, Nick, Rebecca, Brenda and Olivia in James’ Office)
Paulo Fonseca:
Exactly my wife’s point. Why did you give them and their Patreon a shout out? (Cut to James in the doorway)
TLOTA:
They bring entertainment that’s light and in our world, that’s quickly heading south don’t you guys think it’s something we all need? (Cut to Paulo, Nick, Rebecca, Brenda and Olivia in James’ Office)
Nick Yaun:
James, we see your point. The point we’re trying to make is you shouldn’t overdo yourself. We care about you. (Cut to James in the doorway)
TLOTA:
I know you guys do but it’s something I want to do as well. Who knows maybe things might be fun and fun is in short supply. I’ll see you guys later! (James walks off as it cuts to Paulo, Nick, Brenda, Rebecca and Olivia in James’ office)
Olivia Horvath:
Okay, he’s gone. Now can you tell me what you need from me?
Rebecca Yaun:
I know this might sound silly but we heard whispers saying things about being Hope for… For James let’s not beat around the bush on this. (A ghostly whisper says “Broken” and everyone looks up and around)
Paulo Fonseca:
Olivia, tell me you heard that!
Olivia Horvath:
Yeah, I heard the word “Broken”!
Nick Yaun:
Good, so we’re not crazy! (A light emanates off the letter as Ghostly whispers echo the following “He is Broken”, “Broken must be rebuilt”, “He must be rebuilt”, “Rebuild the Hope”, “Rebuild the Broken” and everyone in James’ office is left in stunned silence for two seconds as the echoes of the Ghostly Whispers dissipate)
Olivia Horvath:
Okay this is something that isn’t going to go away anytime soon, one suggestion I have is…
Rebecca Yaun:
We discussed this already, telling James is not only a bad idea, it is the Mother and Father of Bad Ideas get together and their child has one even worse than the bad idea the grandparents of that bad idea had. That is how bad the idea is!
Olivia Horvath:
Whether we tell him now or he discovers it further down the road, he’ll know and if he knows you knew before he did, he’s gonna let you have it with both barrels. The first chance we get, we should tell him about it.
TLOTA (Audio only):
About the Whispers? (Everyone else jump and gasp in surprise as James returns to the office.)
TLOTA:
The question I have now is… Did you discover the whispers around the same time I did or not?
Brenda Fonseca:
Well… remember last month when we were helping you clean up after the whole cancelled Disney continuation series?
TLOTA:
Oh, okay so the same time I heard it.
Olivia Horvath:
Wait you all knew at the same time? Why not ask for my help earlier?
TLOTA:
Well I had heard it while I was working with ORAC, I had no idea at the time if anyone else heard, I take it you heard those whispers when you were cleaning up and Liv I wanted to wait until after Halloween so we could focus the meaning together. Which is something we will all do together. Though Rebecca, why do you think it’d be me?
Rebecca Yaun:
That letter was from Emmalina, who else could it be?
Olivia Horvath:
I think the best way is for me to feel the Letter to understand what’s going on. (James reluctantly takes the letter from its frame and hands the letter to Olivia who two seconds after touching it feels the energy flowing through it.)
TLOTA:
LIV! (Olivia’s eyes turn white as it shows she is possessed by a spirit)
Olivia Horvath (Possessed):
James! Are you there?
TLOTA:
I’m here! Emmalina? Is that you?
Olivia Horvath (Possessed):
Emmalina? Yes! I once went by that name! Now I am in someone else!
TLOTA:
Who? Who are you, now? Is Olivia Horvath there?
Olivia Horvath (Possessed):
Olivia is accessing me from where I am now! I don’t know where I am! I know inside you are without hope! You are Broken! Your friends will find me and when they do hope will be restored and you will be rebuilt. We will meet again! (A burst of energy blasts out of Olivia Horvath that sends shockwaves through the studio everyone save for James gets back up to take care of Olivia.)
Paulo Fonseca:
Olivia, Are you okay?
Nick Yaun:
Are we sure it’s even her?
Olivia Horvath:
It’s me but I felt something pass through me. Wait, is James even alive. (Cut to James as he gets up and grabs the letter as the words fade away.)
Paulo Fonseca:
James, what happened?
TLOTA:
I don’t know.
Olivia Horvath:
It looks like the words have disappeared.
Rebecca Yaun:
What does that mean?
Nick Yaun:
Can I say what might’ve happened? I think whatever was in the letter has gone to where Emmalina is.
Brenda Fonseca:
That’s a possibility. What do we do now?
TLOTA:
Simple, we put the letter back in the… Huh that’s odd. (James puts the glass on the letter and the words reappear and when the glass is not on the letter the words disappear.) When the letter is framed in the glass, the words appear but when it’s not in its frame the words are gone. Liv, any idea as to why that is? (Olivia looks at the letter as the words appear and disappear.)
Olivia Horvath:
That is not your everyday glass, is it?
TLOTA:
There is a filter to protect the original version but if the words are still there that means Emmalina is still out there and only she can revive the words without the filter and for now we keep things as they are and we hope she finds us here. Meanwhile I’ve got my word to fulfil! (Everyone walks out as they try to move forward knowing they are united in one secret.)

All The Muppet Movies for Muppet Wish Day

(0:36-end mark from the theme from the final season of American Gladiators original run play the camera moves back to see James on top of the slab with the words “The Last Of The Americans” on it before cutting to James physically)

TLOTA:
I'm James Faraci The Last Of The Americans and The views I'm about to express are that of my own and some of yours. What else can I say but... The Muppets! (Cut to clips of The Muppets throughout the years as "The Muppet Show" theme song plays in the background and James does a voiceover.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Mixing old school Marionette style movement with hand puppetry Jim Henson who we lost far too early in 1990 gave us a legacy that stands the test of time! While TV was the Muppets was bread & butter for me they shined when they had the time to expand on the voodoo they do so well in the movies.(Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
So for Muppet Wish Day I am going to go through ALL the Muppet movies in one shot! (Cut to clips of The movies starring The Muppets as James does a voiceover.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Now there are some ground rules I need to lay down. One, The movies have to be about The Muppets and they have to be made for the big screen! No made for TV movies or specials and Kermit's Swamp Years are not going to be reviewed. Two, None of the other Jim Henson based productions that were made for the cinema are not going to be reviewed. So movies like "Follow That Bird", "The Dark Crystal", "Labyrinth" and the Live Action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies from the 1990's are going to be passed over and finally I will try to keep the Spoilers to the barest minimum I can for the few of you who have not seen. (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
So let's start off with our first foray for Kermit and the gang with "The Muppet Movie" (Cut to the Opening credit of "The Muppet Movie" before cutting to clips of "The Muppet Movie" as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Written by Jack Burns and Jerry Juhl, Produced by Jim Henson and Lord Lew Grade, Directed by James Frawley and released in 1979. The movie about how The Muppets met and all the adventures they had getting to Hollywood including dodging a Fast Food  wannabe impresario Doc Hopper wanting Kermit to become his mascot for his Frog Leg Franchise. Can Kermit and the gang make it to Hollywood to make it big and stop Doc Hopper from doing whatever it takes to make Kermit to be his Mascot? Well you will have to watch the movie to see. What I loved about this movie was how innovative it was with the performances of the Muppets, it took chances on how The Muppets could be performed. The cameos are entertaining. The music provided by Paul Williams and Kenneth Ascher is iconic and I can think of a moment from the movie at times when I didn't even think I was doing it and if that is a sign of how successful a movie is then you know how successful your movie is.  (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
But it would take the Muppets team four days after the second anniversary of the first movie to release one of their greatest movies they would ever make. "The Great Muppet Caper" (Cut to the opening credit of "The Great Muppet Caper" before cutting to clips of the movie as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
What can I say that few haven't said and what I haven't said already. This was one of the first movies I ever saw! It helps me get through February 14th and I put it on when I need to have a good laugh and some harmless fun! "The Great Muppet Caper" directed by the man himself Jim Henson. The movie is so great that telling you the story would do the movie is an injustice. They demolish the fourth wall in a way Deadpool would only look at, eat his weight in Chimichangas and sigh in defeat! If you haven't seen this movie then WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! Watch it, get it on DVD, Blu-Ray or Digital Download and give it all your attention! It is worth it!(Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
How they would better themselves after making one of the greatest movies ever made? Simple they'd take three years after making "The Great Muppet Caper" to create one of the most entertaining Muppet movies ever with "The Muppets Take Manhattan" (Cut to the opening credit of "The Muppets Take Manhattan" before cutting to clips of the movie as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Directed by Frank Oz, The story focuses on Kermit trying to sell his musical to a Broadway producer and all the adventures that happen to Kermit and everyone who had separated until Kermit gets the musical sold. What really makes this movie is the story, the music and the Cameos from the likes of Dabney Coleman, Gregory Hines, Liza Minnelli, Former Mayor Ed Koch, Brooke Shields, Art Carney and Gates McFadden! Yes Trekkies, Dr. Crusher from "Star Trek: The Next Generation" is in a Muppet Movie! A Part of this movie's legacy was how it helped generate one of my favorite animated series of all time! (Cut to opening credits to "Muppet Babies" before cutting to James physically.)

TLOTA:
Another part of the movie's legacy sadly is the fact that this would be the last movie Jim Henson would perform Kermit in a Muppet movie as six years after this movie the biggest tragedy in the history of The Muppets happened. (Cut to clip of Peter Jennings sadly announcing the Death of Jim Henson then clips of Jim Henson's Funeral as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Jim Henson died in May of 1990 of Toxic Shock Syndrome leaving a legacy that would grow years after his passing. But for kids who were born in the 1970's & 1980's their childhoods were killed when Jim died. Old school Muppets fans like myself are still in shock to this day that Jim is gone but thankfully he shall forever be remembered! (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
Thankfully everyone at Jim Henson's company decided to keep The Muppets going because I think Jim wanted that to happen and two years after Jim Henson's successor for Kermit, Steve Whitmire had established himself as Kermit would we get the first Muppet Movie since Jim Henson's death with "The Muppet Christmas Carol" (Cut to opening credit of "The Muppet Christmas Carol" before cutting to clips of the movie as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
And to be honest this movie was just simply the Charles Dickens classic starring Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge and the rest of characters being played by The Muppets but what makes the movie is the emotional range Michael Caine gives Ebenezer Scrooge, the music definitely sets the tone and the fact Brian Henson, Jim's Son directed this movie and it shows how much the movie has been considered the closest to the actual source material.  (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
Probably why Brian directed the next movie which was released four years after "The Muppet Christmas Carol" with "Muppet Treasure Island" (Cut to opening credit of "Muppet Treasure Island" before cutting to clips of the movie as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
While like the predecessor this movie based on the classic Robert Louis Stevenson classic there was really little different except the fact that the Muppets are in it and they play the characters save for Billy Bones played by Billy Connolly, Jennifer Saunders who plays Mrs. Bluveridge, Kevin Bishop as Jim Hawkins and of course Long John Silver played by of course the always enjoyable Tim Curry! I guess what makes the movie is the environment and the music. With songs like "Shiver Me Timbers" and of course (Show "Cabin Fever" song as it is intercut with James and everyone of Team TLOTA go dancing along with the movie and song before cutting to James continuing his voiceover as "Muppet Treasure Island" continues)

But yeah, aside of a few good moments this movie kind of is one of the weaker movies in the Muppet movie franchise but still it is entertaining. Though the fact this was the last movie directed Brian Henson which is sad but still not a bad note to go out on.  (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
However I wished he had controlled things much better on a movie that is not bad but in terms of Muppet Movies is considered the weakest in the entire Movie franchise. "Muppets From Space" (Cut to opening credit of "Muppets From Space" before cutting to clips from "Muppets From Space" as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
I've already discussed the pros and cons of this movie in an edition of "In Defense Of..." and I stand by them. While the movie is not good, it's not bad either. While a lot of it feels like a good parody of  bad family films I have to say that I kind of have to agree with hard core Muppet Fans that this movie would've had Jim rolling in the Taos, New Mexico area where his ashes are scattered. But this movie sadly is the last theatrically produced movie by Jim Henson Pictures as Disney would buy the Muppets brand. Save for this movie and The Muppets Take Manhattan. (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
And while Disney would do TV projects with The Muppets it would take until 2011 for Disney to bring The Muppets back to the Big Screen with "The Muppets" (Cut to the opening of "The Muppets" before cutting to Clips of the movie as James does a voiceover.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
And from the beginning you could tell that this was a movie for the fans by a fan of the Muppets. Jason Segel starred in, helped write and executively produce this movie and you can tell that Jason was hands on in making this movie. The story was amazing. Essentially a reunion movie. The Muppets have to come back to save the Muppet Theater from a ruthless oil tycoon. I love every aspect of this movie and I will admit for the first time as an adult I cried when the new Muppet Character Walter performed by Peter Linz was in Kermit's office and one of the photos they panned to was a picture of Kermit and the man behind him Jim Henson and if a movie can make me feel something then it has to be amazing. If you have kids who haven't seen either Sesame Street or The Muppets in any way shape or form then this is a great way to introduce Kermit and the gang to a whole new generation.(Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
With the success of "The Muppets" many people would assume Disney would capitalize on what happened and bring another movie out quickly. Well without Jason Segel helping in the production would it capture what the 2011 movie? We'd find out in 2014 with "Muppets Most Wanted" (Cut to opening credit of "Muppets Most Wanted" before cutting to clips of the movie as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
And to be honest it was good. The plot was somewhat reminiscent of "The Great Muppet Caper" but it didn't feel like a knock off. While it was nice to see Walter return and see an honest to god Muppet villain that can actually challenge The Muppets in a way not even time can hold a candle to, Meet.... Constantine and guess what... (First time Constantine in unveiled as a dramatic musical sting before cutting to James physically)

TLOTA:
WHOA MY GOODNESS IT'S KERMIT'S EVIL TWIN! (Cut to clips of "Muppets Most Wanted" as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Actually there are some difference between Kermit and Constantine and if you've seen Adorkable Rachel's Review of this movie you know what they are. There is however another reason why this movie has become more memorable over the past few years as one of the final performances of  Steve Whitmire as Kermit The Frog before his unceremonious departure after 27 years as Kermit only for Constantine's performer Matt Vogel to become only the Third most known performer to be Kermit The Frog and my thoughts on Matt Vogel's Kermit is... (Cut to Muppet Of The Week with Kermit being performed by Matt Vogel before cutting to hear a ground shaking explosion at James' office as James runs out to see his team using Fire extinguishers)

TLOTA:
WHAT IN THE SAM HILL HAPPENED?

Olivia Horvath:
The Polarizing meter exploded!

TLOTA:
Hasn't happened since "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice!" (James grabs a fire extinguisher and joins the other as the flames subside as everyone looks at James)

TLOTA:
Uh was working on quickly reviewing all the Muppet Movies and I just had to show the clip of Matt Vogel's debut as Kermit The Frog. Yeah, I know that look on your faces about Kermit's new performer but you can not deny the impact of the movies The Muppets made.

(Cut to clips of all the Muppets Movies as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
These movies are amazing! The stories of these movies are incredibly entertaining, the acting from the human actors is incredible, the humor is incredible, the writing is timeless, the music has aged well like fine wine, it is a part of my childhood and believe it when I say it should be a part of everyone's childhood because everything good and imaginative in childhood. Get them on Blu-Ray, DVD or even watch them on any Streaming site that will show these movies. As long as you get a chance to watch and share these movies with the next generation then we know Jim Henson's legacy will stay alive! Will there be more Muppet Movies in the future? Well that's up for Disney to decide. But as much as I want to wish for it to happen, I'm not holding my breath.  (Cut to James and the rest of the team physically)

TLOTA:
So until that time when I can watch the Muppets on the big screen again, Let's enjoy what we have. I'm James Faraci The Last Of The Americans...

Everyone (In Unison):
AND THAT'S OUR OPINION!

Just Add Water: My Mako Adventure: Mako Mermaids Season 3 Part 1

(0:00-1:00 of the third season trailer plays uninterrupted before going to 1:00-1:30 play in the background as James does a voiceover.)

James Faraci (Voiceover): OH..... GOOODIE! A dragon! I can actually feel George R.R. Martin getting ready to sue somebody or go all Red Wedding on everyone involved behind the scenes of this season. Welcome my friends To Mako Mermaids Season three. (Fade to black)

(Cut to Scenes from season three of "Mako Mermaids" as "I Just Wanna Be" is played in the background before cutting Mako Island before it cuts to a scene of James in a lounge chair and the words "Just Add Water: My Mako Adventure" above James before cutting to clips of the show and the season as James first sighs and then groans and does a voiceover)

James Faraci (Voiceover): Ladies and gentlemen, this is the season where Jonathan Shiff gave up and everyone in the cast of Mako Mermaids when they looked at the scripts for this season then looked at the writers and they realized....(Cut to the clip of MST3K where Joel, Tom Servo and Crow say in Unison "THEY JUST DIDN'T CARE" before cutting back to the third season as James does a voiceover)

James Faraci (Voiceover): And in all honesty, there was no reason at all for this season to happen! The Main conflict had been resolved. Zac was no longer considered a threat! The pod had returned to Mako Island. What else could they do? I mean yeah there was plenty that could've been done, they could've focused this season on Evie and Zac becoming more acclimated to life as part of the Pod causing tensions between the humans they've known and the Pod they're just beginning to know, they could've done something to make Cam, Carly and David become more important characters maybe them being the key to Rita's hopes of humans and merfolk becoming united, Lyla could've returned causing tension between Evie and Zac forcing Zac to chose between the mermaid he knew for a brief period or the mermaid he's known all his life. What would we get for this supposed final season? Sadly what we would get is a season of missteps, bad ideas and one of the characters getting a worse Screw Job then what happened in Montreal 20 years ago to Bret Hart. Something interesting to note about this season as it was just about to premiere on Netflix, the Disney Channel aired season one of Mako Mermaids here in the States and have yet to do so for the rest of the series, it's a funny old world isn't it? In addition there was apparently some back and forth between Netflix, Network Eleven and Jonathan Shiff as to how many episodes were going to be produced eventually coming to an agreement on a season consisting of 16 episodes. Which is not bad, I mean it is possible for a storyline to be resolved in such a short amount of episodes, Hell the final season of "GLEE" had basically 13 episodes for their final season and they were able to have the series end on a satisfactory note in my opinion anyway. However a lot of the episodes for this season of Mako Mermaids doesn't focus on the main storyline. A lot of the episodes are just filler with the odd episode actually involving the storyline which is a fail in Storyline Writing 101 and I know a lot of you are saying to yourselves right now "This one won't be long, It's 16 episodes." To which I say to you, Did you even check the title? I haven't done a one off part in this retrospective since "H2O: Just Add Water Season One" Also just because it is sixteen episodes doesn't mean it's gonna be a piece of Baklava, especially if the pace is slow. And sadly the pacing in this season is painfully slow, it is so slow I could watch "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" ten times and the pace of "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" would still be faster than this season! But now after all I have said let's get into the supposed final season of "Mako Mermaids" and I will address the rest of the problems as we go along!

The Season begins with "A Visit From The East" We open up in China as we're quickly introduced to Weilan played by Linda Ngo as she hits the water she becomes a mermaid and something big and nasty follows her. We then cut to a month later as Evie prepares to take part in her first full moon ceremony as a member of the pod. In the meanwhile David is in a funk because Sirena is with her sister... on vacation... in Hawaii. Sadly, Amy Ruffle who played Sirena left the series after two seasons and I think I know why when we talk about the characters. Meanwhile Veridia comes to Ondina with a unique proposal to teach the young mermaids in the pod in which she accepts. Why? To help her get over Erik? Because from the look on her face after she dumped the guy you could tell she was pretty much over him. I know I would be if the person I was dating was trying to slowly but surely drain the life out of me, I know I'd tell her we were done and not have thought twice about it. . Not long after Weilan is found helping a young mermaid who was one of Ondina's students and then arrives at Rita's and given sanctuary because Weilan's Grandma and Rita are old friends not that we would've known that especially given what we know about Rita. But for now it's almost time for Evie's first Mako Pod Full Moon Celebration which is interrupted when the big nasty thing that Weilan thought she escaped from finds her and finds Mako Island and it just happens to be a dragon made of water! Now here is where things quickly go south this season. While the Dragon is subdued by the end of the episode. Weilan informs everyone that now the Dragon is awakened the pod is in greater danger now than they were when Zac became a merman ."A Visit Of The East" is a great episode and definitely a good set up for a good season. A good final season? Not really.

That is only because again less than a fraction of this season actually focus on the storyline of everyone trying to stop the dragon which is supposed to be the main storyline. That storyline gets shoved to the sideline while most of the episodes focuses on the wrong subplot like Ondina teaching the young school of mermaids or the subplot involving Cam buying out David's brother's stake in the Juice Bar just so it can stay open! A Good Ninety-five Percent of this season are simply filler and missteps and not helping is Weilan character wise. I like Linda Ngo as an actress, but as Weilan she tries too hard be serious in her delivery and while Weilan is okay in small doses she quickly becomes a drain on the series and driving me Cuckoo! When she tries to act seriously, I can't take what she was doing or saying serious. I mean in one scene in the season premiere she's taking a selfie with Poseidon and in the next She's trying to be so serious about the dragon but to me it looks like she comes off putting out a bad performance! And I do not personally blame Linda Ngo for this, it's like the writers had no idea what to do with the character or this season and again the writers are to blame for this failure of a season. Like I've been saying, it feels like Jonathan Shiff gave up and everyone in the cast looked at the scripts for this season then looked at the writers and they realized....(Cut to the clip of MST3K where Joel, Tom Servo and Crow say in Unison "THEY JUST DIDN'T CARE" before cutting back to the third season as James does a voiceover)

James Faraci (Voiceover): Following the Season premiere, we discover in "Seeing Is Believing" Ondina doesn't exactly get along with Weilan especially when she trashes Rita's Grotto and blames Weilan for bringing the dragon to the pod and it's not hard to disagree with Ondina in this case. Weilan was the one who found the dragon, accidentally mind you but still, I agree with you Ondina! Weilan has put the pod in greater danger then when they thought Zac was the main threat! Weilan could've gone anywhere! ANYWHERE BUT MAKO ISLAND! BUT WEILAN IS GIVEN SANCTUARY BY THE POD THE SAME POD WHO IS IN MORE DANGER NOW THEN THEY WERE WHEN ZAC GOT HIS TAIL AND POWERS! Okay yeah it was Rita who gave her Sanctuary but still The Pod allowed Rita to give sanctuary to Weilan and because Rita is still a member of the Pod by proxy The Pod is to blame for this as much as Rita and Weilan is. While the two become friendly by the end of the episode, I have to once again point out that most of what happens in this episode and this season is filler and missteps. While there is a plan in motion for the next full moon should the dragon attack for Zac to defend the moon pool and the pod would assist, again a lot of what happens in these episodes involve filler and missteps.

The next major misstep happens in the episode "The Way Of The Dragon". It's the night of the Full Moon and everyone is ready to end the dragon though showing everyone getting ready throughout this season would've been more interesting than dancing lessons between Zac and Cam or having Evie misuse her powers because the writers have it out for Evie and her actress Gemma Forsyth. (Sighs) Have I said enough how much this season sucks seawater? Veridia however tasks Ondina and Mimmi to care of the young mermaids and Weilan tells Veridia that it's safer for the pod to be on the west side of the Island. Weilan obviously lied and Zac and Evie try to stop the dragon and fail, costing Evie her tail and her powers. Okay, this is the Screw job I mentioned earlier in this retrospective! I want to know which of the writers had it out for actress Gemma Forsyth and her character because they put her through hell to save Zac, her mermaid friends and the pod last season and this is her reward for helping? I should stop this retrospective right here because what they did to her at the end of this episode and what happens to her in the next episode is complete BS! In the follow up episode after Evie loses her tail and powers, Weilan feels guilty for costing Evie her tail and Powers as she should! Weilan then consults an Asian Antiquity shop owner named Shen who is first introduced in episode five and considers running away from the pod hoping the Dragon would follow her. Shen tells her that she can run but her problems would not be fixed! Meanwhile Ondina and Mimmi try to help Evie get her tail and powers back but it backfires causing Ondina to be stuck with her tail even when she dries off. Weilan comes back to help Ondina regain her legs. However by the end of the episode Evie decides to return her moon ring, leave the pod and basically return to her old life as a human. Now I'm sure the budget wasn't plausible for Evie to be a mermaid throughout the entire season but she could've still been one in name only using her for when she was necessary to the storyline and just let her be a normal human when she wasn't needed to be a mermaid. There was a gigantic backlash towards this decision by the fans towards what they did to Evie and it's not that hard to see why. They gave a secondary character a great advancement in her character just to take away what they did to her because the writers wanted Evie to suffer is on par with how big a screw job The Hitman Bret Hart got in Montreal 20 years ago. But yeah, Evie is now once again worthless to the plot from this moment forward and The Writers got possibly their biggest set of Jollies in doing that to Evie and her actress Gemma Forsyth.

So... Evie's Screw job. WHAT... THE... LITERAL... DEFINITION...OF...HELL?! ADMITTEDLY EVIE WASN'T EXACTLY ENDEARING IN THE FIRST FEW EPISODES OF THE SERIES BUT SHE SLOWY BUT SURELY GREW ON ME. MAKING HER A MERMAID WAS THE LOGICAL NEXT STEP TOWARDS DEVELOPING HER CHARACTER, TO DO WHAT THEY DID TO HER THIS SEASON WAS A SLAP IN THE FACE TO THE CHARACTER OF EVIE AND TO GEMMA FORSYTH THE ACTRESS WHO PLAYED EVIE AND WHAT HAPPENED TO EVIE IS EQUALLY AS SHODDY AS IS THIS SEASON. SIMPLY BECAUSE SHE HAS LOST HER TAIL AND POWERS NOW, IT DOESN'T MEAN SHE SHOULD LOSE THEM FOREVER,  HELL EVIE BELIEVES IT TO BE PERMANENT! NONE OF THE MERMAIDS TRULY KNOW IF THIS IS PERMANENT OR TEMPORARY. AGAIN THE WRITERS ARE TO BLAME FOR THIS SCREWJOB AND FORCING HER BACK INTO BEING A POINTLESS SECONDARY CHARACTER AND YES, EVEN THOUGH SHE'S STILL LISTED IN THE MAIN CAST EVIE MCLAREN IS NOW ONCE AGAIN POINTLESS TO THE MAIN PLOT. THIS IS JUST...just... WOW! WHEN WORDS FAIL ME AND I CONSIDER MYSELF ONE HELL OF A WORDSMITH, YOU KNOW HOW BIG A FAIL THIS SEASON IS!

THIS SEASON FOR EVIE SHOULD'VE BEEN HER FINAL STEP TOWARDS BECOMING A FULLY DEVELOPED CHARACTER! HER SLOWLY ACCLIMATING TO THE LIFE OF A MERMAID, BRINGING CARLY ALONG IN HER JOURNEY AND MAKING A CARLY A MERMAID IN THE PROCESS SO EVIE CAN HAVE HER FRIEND ALONG IN HER NEW LIFE. THE STAKES SHOULD'VE BEEN BETTER FOR EVIE, HER JOURNEY LEADING HER TO THE POD AND EVIE BECOMING FULLY REALIZED! INSTEAD WE GET A CHARACTER WHO GRATES ON MY NERVES AND MY PATIENCE WITH HER PERFORMANCE BEING THE MOST ANNOYING, THE PACE OF THE SEASON BEING THE WORST IN THE ENTIRE SERIES, THE LAST OF THE THREE MERMAIDS FROM THE BEGINNING OF THIS SERIES BAILING AND THE WRITERS STICKING WHAT WOULD'VE HAPPENED TO HER ONTO A CHARACTER WHO LITERALLY COULD'VE BEEN DOING ANYTHING ELSE THAN WHAT THEY GAVE HER THIS SEASON, A DRAGON BECAUSE THE WRITERS WANTED THE GAME OF THRONES AUDIENCE AND HAD GOTTEN THEIR DEMENTED JOLLIES BY FORCING A GOOD CHARACTER BACK TO BEING POINTLESS TO THE MAIN PLOT AND THE WRITERS NOT GIVING HER ANY SORT OF MOMENT OF HOPE BECAUSE THE WRITERS IDIOTICALLY DECIDED NOT TO USE THEIR BRAINS AT ANY POINT IN THIS SEASON! AND WE'VE ONCE AGAIN GOT A BUNCH OF KIDS RUNNING A FREAKING JUICE BAR!

(The audio of James inhaling a deep breath in before an F sound is heard before cutting to the clip of "Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part 1" episode from "The Simpsons" after the loudest F-Bomb being drowned out by a loud Church Organ Blast that scare doves have everyone look at the Simpsons' home before we See Ned Flanders say "Dear Lord That's the loudest Profanity I've ever heard!"
