Top 10 MST3K Mike Nelson Moments

(Scene begins as a finger taps an app on a watch as it opens a portal the 1994 American Gladiators theme song plays , and it cuts to different images of James as the characters he’s played until it cuts to his face and the credit of “James Faraci” is shown as it cuts to “The Last Of The Americans'” current iteration then slides away to different images of Paulo Fonseca, Brenda Fonseca, Rebecca Yaun, and Nick Yaun as the characters they’ve played until it cut to their faces and the credits of “Paulo and Brenda Fonseca & Rebecca and Nick Yaun” is shown as it then slides away to different images of John Ross and Mike Santos, Andrew Beach, and Ed Champion as the characters they’ve played until it cut to their faces and the credits of “John Ross Santos, Mike Santos, Andrew Beach, Ed Champion” is shown as it then slides away to different images of Eric Kurtzke, Renee Miller and Olivia Horvath and the credits of “Eric Kurtzke, Renee Miller, Olivia Horvath” is shown as the 0:00-0:21 mark of the theme song plays. Everything becomes a swirl of Reds, Whites, and Blues as the credits “Produced by First Choice Productions. Edited by Eric Kurtzke and Paulo Fonseca. Written and Directed by James Faraci” as the 0:21-0:26 mark of the theme song plays. We then see an outlined image of James as he morphs into “The Last Of The Americans” and lands with half of his team on his right. The other half on his left is on a white background, and the title “THE LAST OF THE AMERICANS” is shown Lazer etched into Titanium as the last six seconds of the American Gladiators 1994 theme song plays. Cut to James sitting in his office)

TLOTA:
I'm James Faraci, The Last Of The Americans, and the views I'm about to express are that of my own and some of yours. Well, if the past few years of me talking about MST3K have been any indication, then you know who I will talk about since I've talked about Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank and Joel Hodgson, AKA Joel Robinson. So let's meet the man who came in clutch to keep the series going when Joel escaped from the Sattelite Of Love. (Show the clip of Dr. Forrester shouting, "WHAT?! JOEL ESCAPED FROM THE SATELLITE OF LOVE?!" Cut to the MST3K episodes featuring Michael J Nelson as "Mike Nelson" as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (V.O.):
Yes, folks, after Joel Hodgson volunteered to step away from the series he started, Lone showrunner Jim Mallon had to find someone to come in clutch and keep The Satellite Of Love running and, by extension, keep Mystery Science Theater 3000 alive. Thankfully, the show had a good enough head writer in the form of Michael J. Nelson. He played Mike Nelson, a temp employee who was at what could be considered either The right place at the right time, the wrong place at the wrong time, the right place at the wrong time, or the wrong place at the right time, either or works in this case. While it took him most of the rest of season five to get his sea legs, when he did, there was NO stopping him, not having the show canceled at Comedy Central, not losing Frank Conniff and Trace Beaulieu, not having the ONLY movie the Best Brains team fail at the box office only to gain the Cult Status, not only seeing the revival at the SciFi Channel be knocked down a peg when Barry Diller basically put the kibosh on it after three seasons, he was solid as a rock! After a ten-year run, he kept everything going until the end of the series. (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
So let's celebrate the man that the fans liked, just not the Mads or Barry Diller; this is the top ten best Mike Nelson moments on MST3K

(Cut to a field as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, and a camera looks around. James Pops up in Camo and starts shooting, and The camera drops. Cut to the inside of an oven where what the camera symbolizes and James looking in before closing the door and the words "Top 10 moments of Mike Nelson on Mystery Science Theater 3000" are shown, and James closes the door, revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (V.O.):
Number 10

(Cut to clips of all the characters Michael J. Nelson performed as before becoming the host of MST3K as James does a voiceover)

10) Michael J. Nelson, Utility player and Hexfield Thespian

TLOTA (V.O.):
As I said in the intro before this list, before Michael J Nelson was the host, he was the head writer, and not only that, he was also a utility player performing characters and was a regular in the Hex field. Let's go over the list of characters. We have the voice of Isaac Asimov's Literary Doomsday Device in Women of the Prehistoric Planet, Valeria in Rocketship X-M, JC in The Side Hackers, Imperialistic Alien 1 in Jungle Goddess, Sorri Andropoli in Rocket Attack U.S.A., "Hugh Beaumont" in Lost Continent, The Human Duplicators, the voice of "Abe Vigoda" in First Spaceship on Venus, the voice of Mothra in Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster, Gamera - Gamera, Bruce in Daddy-O, Glenn Manning in The Amazing Colossal Man and War of the Colossal Beast, "Jack Perkins" in Fugitive Alien and in the MST3K Turkey Day marathons featuring Jack Perkins, "Michael Feinstein" in Gamera vs. Guiron, Custodian of the Seventh Galaxy in Earth vs. the Spider, Kenny in Gamera vs. Zigra, The Radio Announcer in The Giant Gila Monster, "Morrissey" in City Limits, Holo-clown in Being from Another Planet and Attack of the Giant Leeches, "Steve Reeves" in Hercules Unchained, Mike the Cop in Indestructible Man, Winky in Manhunt in Space, the voice of Tony Travis in The Beatniks, "John Banner" in Crash of Moons, "Larry Buchanan" in Attack of the Eye Creatures, Torgo in "Manos" The Hands of Fate, Operation Double 007, Village of the Giants, San Francisco International, Danger!! Death Ray and Samson vs. the Vampire Women, the voice of Megaweapon in Warrior of the Lost World, the voices of multiple Baywatch characters in Swamp Diamonds, the voice of the Virtual Comedy heckler in Secret Agent Super Dragon, the voice of Frank Sinatra in The Magic Voyage of Sinbad, the voice of Deep 13 computer in Last of the Wild Horses, Toblerone in Escape 2000, Buddy in Parts: The Clonus Horror and The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies, Eddie Nelson in Time Chasersthe voice of Lembach in The Projected Man and finally the voice of Goosio in Final Justice. Phew, what a talent! And most of them were after he became the host. So, imagine if someone on YouTube with half of Michael does all that today! He'd be one of the best by today! Michael was doing this at a time when television was the only way to break into regular acting in hopes of getting into movies. So Michael, for being so talented, I salute you.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein what the camera symbolizes and Olivia looks in, uses a Bulb Baster, and closes the door, revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (V.O.):
Number 9

(Cut to the MST3K episode "Mitchell" as James does a voiceover.)
9) "Mitchell" AKA Enter Mike Nelson and Joel Robinson's escape from the Sattelite Of Love (Show the clip of Dr. Forrester shouting, "WHAT?! JOEL ESCAPED FROM THE SATELLITE OF LOVE?!" Cut to the MST3K episode "Mitchell" as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (V.O.):
As I have gone over in great detail MANY times about Joel leaving MST3K by his partner Jim Mallon, the cast and crew prepared themselves for the new host. But who could fill in the jumpsuit? Thankfully, Michael J. Nelson was willing to come in clutch and take the hosting duties himself. The episode, for the most part, is an average Joel episode. That is if the story of how "G" thought that the mads were going to unalive Joel because he refused to break after all the years of watching bad movies and only making jokes to keep what sanity he had left, when if in fact, "G" had opened up the coms earlier, "G" would've heard them talking about doing it to their temp Mike Nelson. Instead, "G" got Joel off and inadvertently forced the mads to use Mike as the new test experiment for the mads to torment. I also liked how they were able to allow Joel to finish the riffing of "Mitchell" and how they were able to make the transition from Joel hosting to Mike hosting smoother than Joe Don Baker's style.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein the camera symbolizes Renee putting a Dressing dish in the oven and closing the door, revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 8

(Cut to the MST3K "The Brain That Wouldn't Die" episode as James does a voiceover)

8) "The Brain That Wouldn't Die"

TLOTA (Voiceover):
After Joel Left, Mike stepped in, and his early episodes were difficult because he was forced to wear Joel's Shoes. And in this episode, while in the host segments, he had to deal with Joel's shadow. But in the riff segments, we would see the brilliance of Mike Nelson start to crack slowly but surely through the movie riffs. After watching what Mike was doing when he was allowed to be Mike in this episode, while it took a while, I was glad to watch the beginning of Mike's greatness.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein the camera symbolizes Paulo and Brenda Fonseca putting their homemade Croissant Rolls in the oven and closing the door, revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 7

(Cut to the MST3K episode "Girls Town" as James does a voiceover)

7) "Girls Town"

TLOTA (V.O.):
This is where we start to see Mike completely control the Sattelite Of Love as the Invention Exchange is replaced with Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank connecting the Sattelite, and then we have the experiment. Then we have the plot device for this and the following season called the Umbilicus that the MADS would use for future experiments and a Deus Ex Machina. But the moment with Mike and the bots involves Tom Servo at the end of the first act. Tom Servo decides to scat, and the results are comically excellent. (Cut to Tom Servo as he scats. Cut to James physically.

TLOTA:
Let's look at this moment again. (Cut to Tom Servo as he scats, and James does a voiceover.)

TLOTA (V.O.):
Tom Servo talks about how much he likes to scat. So, to entertain himself, Mike, and Crow, he scats happily throughout the entire moment. Meanwhile, it takes Mike half a second to be bored to death. Crow jumps off the screen as quickly as Servo Scats then comes back with a burlap sack. Mike then stamps Tom Servo into the sack and seals him in a 60-gallon water drum that doubles as an Acme rocket! And just before Tom is sent into the depths of space. The Commercial sign puts the kibosh on those plans. What's Tom Servo doing? Happily scatting. That is just how calm he was all the while Mike and Crow were just trying to launch him into the depths of space. It was so good that it was worthy of this list.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein what the camera symbolizes, and Nick Yaun puts a Green Bean Casserole in the oven and closes the door, revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 6

(Cut to clips of "MST3K: Lazerblast" & "MST3K: The Movie" as James does a voiceover)

6) "Lazerblast" & MST3K The Movie

TLOTA (V.O.):
After Comedy Central gave the series the axe, Jim Mallon was shopping the series around for a new network. While doing so, he decided to enact a plan he and then co-creator Joel Hodgson had lying around. It's a movie about the gang on the Sattelite as they riff on possibly the movie that would break the subject and then sell the movie for capital. However, as the process went on, the movie became the movie we all know and has a cult classic love for "Mystery Science Theater 3000 The Movie." The movie riffed in the movie "This Island Earth" was the caveat for Universal to pick up the movie through one of its subsidiary Grammercy Films, and then the series would return on what is now known as the SyFy Channel. While Rowdy, The Nostalgia Kid, and I went over this a few years ago. They really gave Mike a lot in this movie. Even in the Deleted Scenes, he was good.  Plus, if the series had ended with Lazerblast, it would've been a fine send-off for Mike, The Bots, and the series, as Dr. Forrester had lost funding for the project. Mike and the bots shed their corporeal forms to become beings of pure light as Clayton Forrester becomes a Starchild. As I said, if the series had ended here, it would've ended everything well. Thankfully, it didn't end here.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein the camera symbolizes Rebecca Yaun moving the Stuffing over, placing a Sweet Potato Pie in the oven, and closing the door, revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 5

(Cut to Season 8 of MST3K as James does a voiceover)

5) The first SyFy (Sci-Fi) Channel Season

TLOTA (V.O.):
After a seven-year run on Comedy Central and a movie that would obtain cult status on its own merits, The SyFy (Sci-Fi) Channel was willing to give the Sattelite Of Love a new home, and with Trace Beaulieu having left the series for greener pastures, some holes needed to be filled. First up was a team of MADS. Surprisingly, the first hole was set up at the end of the Comedy Central run with the advent of Dr. Clayton Forester's mother, Pearl, played by Mary Jo Pehl. Throughout this season, she would get her own Dr. Earhardt and TV's Frank in the form of Professor Bobo, Played by Kevin Murphy, and Observer, played by Bill Corbett, who would fill in the other hole. As I said, Trace left, and they needed someone who could perform as Crow. As happenstance would have it, Bill Corbett sounds similar enough to Trace, and while it took Bill some time to put everything together for Crow, he could make Crow his own. What also sets this season on the list is that a story arc happened for Mike. The fact that he accidentally blew up the Earth five centuries after season 7. They blew up the planet of the observers. Then they had to rescue the new MADS and blow up another planet with a baking soda bomb! Mike then has to go to trial for his role as destroyer of planets, only for them to end in Ancient Rome. Then, we are back to our time at the start of season nine. So yeah, it's really worth it to be back on TV and this time on SyFy (Sci-Fi) Channel.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground wherein the camera symbolizes John Ross Santos moving the Croissant Rolls and placing them in a tray of 100 Pigs In A Blanket in the oven and closing the door, revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 4
(Cut to the title card of the MST3K episode "Werewolf" as an arrow points to it as it cuts to clips of the episode as James does a voiceover )

TLOTA (V.O.):
There is a reason why I cannot say the title of this movie, and it's not for a lack of trying. This movie made it impossible for me to say the title. As a matter of fact, what you're about to see is every single attempt at me stating the title of this movie (Cut to James physically in a Soundbooth with an engineer played by Doug Yaun)

The Engineer (Audio only):
Okay, James, when you're ready.

TLOTA:
I'm ready.

The Engineer (Audio Only):
Okay, and Number Four audio title clip recording and go! (James continually says "Werewolf" in so many different ways outside the actual way to say it.) James, you've been at this for fifty takes. What the hell is going on?

TLOTA:
I'm sorry. I was watching the movie, and I've been trying to translate how they say it into English.

The Engineer (Audio only):
Are you shitting me?! Okay, does ANYONE in the movie you're trying to say actually say it clearly enough to loop it in?

TLOTA:
One guy who does that is called "Sam The Keeper" in the movie.

The Engineer (Audio only):
Okay, Fuck it, we'll dub it in. (Cut to clips of the MST3K "Werewolf" episode as James does a voiceover.)

TLOTA (V.O.):
So when you hear me say (Audio of "Sam The Keeper" saying "Werewolf") in this part, it's not me; it's Sam The Keeper saying (Audio of "Sam The Keeper" saying "Werewolf"). Anyway, an archeological dig set in Arizona where an asshat of an archeologist is basically in it for the fame and glory when the team he antagonizes claims they found a skeleton of a (Audio of "Sam The Keeper" saying "Werewolf") or as they call it a "Yetiglanchi." And before you know it, all sorts of madness is unleashed. The episode's director and Tom Servo puppeteer, Kevin Murphy, called this movie "A gift from God" because it got the MST3K treatment a whopping two years after it was released. For me, one of the better moments was at the start of the second act as Mike trips on Crow and then slowly but surely becomes a Were-Crow through the episode's final act. While they continue to riff on (Audio of "Sam The Keeper" saying "Werewolf"), by the end of the episode, Mike's gone full-on Crow, and Tom Servo has some essence of Mike doesn't know where or how he got it, nor do I care where he got it. Still, it's safe to say that after the episode, he got tired of being Crow and cured himself. This was just awesome, and so many of the riffs were easy partly because the Eastern European actors make Tommy Wiseau sound like an English Major, and that became an easy source of humor, which I liked about this episode. There is nothing left to say except... (Cut to Natalie as she says, "This is absolutely fascinating!" in her broken English as it cuts to James physically)

TLOTA:
You're right, Shis iz Asholuthey Hashinati!

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein the camera symbolizes Mike Santos as He places corn in the oven and closes the door, revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 3

(Cut to the MST3K episode "Soultaker" as James does a voiceover)

3) The only time Mike and Joel meet face to face and the start of the final season

TLOTA (V.O.):
They started off their final season by showing that the Sattelite Of Love was starting to fall apart at the seams. While the riffing was still good, and "Soultaker" was a great movie to riff to start this season off with, what makes this episode worthy of their list is who they were able to get to help repair the Sattelite as Joel returned years after leaving the show and the Sattelite, Joel has returned to fix the Sattelite. While fans hoped they would see Joel and Mike riff on a movie in an episode, it was not meant to be. Though they could do riffs together on tours, they did riff on an MST3K Reunion special for Rifftrax, so that's something fantastic for fans like me.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein the camera symbolizes Ed Champion and Andrew Beach placing a Pumpkin and Apple Pie in the oven before closing the door to reveal the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 2
(Cut to clips of MST3K episodes "Girl In Gold Boots" & "Final Justice" as James does a voiceover.)

2) "The Girl In Gold Boots" and "Final Justice"

TLOTA (V.O.):
What I liked about these episodes was how fun they were. Starting off with "The Girl In Gold Boots," imagine "Showgirls" done in the 1960s and without Elizabeth Berkley and Joe Esterhauz (Cut to the clip of "The Girl In Gold Boots" as Crow shouts "MADNESS!" as Mike cries and Tom Servo goes nuts. "IT'S MADNESS! IT'S MADNESS! IT'S! (Screaming madly)."  Cut to the MST3K Episode "The Girl In Gold Boots" clips as James does a voiceover.)

TLOTA (V.O.):
Yeah, this is one of the craziest movies they had to riff. This is partly due to the story arc for Pearl in this season, who was looking to get board-certified as a mad scientist to, you guessed it, Take Over The World! (Cut to James in the Super Mario Bros. Movie review as the Maw-Ray is about to eat him, Mario and Donkey Kong, and James says, "Of Course!" Cut to the MST3K Episode "Final Justice" as James does a voiceover.)

TLOTA (V.O.):
Now, onto "Final Justice," Remember, Mike's Era started with the Joe Don Baker Movie "Mitchell" and how they made fun of Joe Don Baker in "Mitchell" because of how disheveled he was and his eating habits were very much a source of jokes and of course at the end of "Mitchell" Joel escaped. Mike was sure enough sent in his stead. In the "Final Justice" episode, they were Merciless towards Joe Don Baker. By the end of the episode, Mike thought he would get out of the Sattelite because he watched a Joe Don Baker movie. However, when Tom Servo told Mike, they thought Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank would use Method 53 to eliminate Joel. This leads me to wonder why they didn't Mike get upset at the bots for their mistake and why Mike wasn't upset at The MADS for sacrificing what he was doing to be tormented. I will never get the answer to that question. It would've been a great movie to end the series. Thankfully, the number one spot will fill in the spot of the ending, allowing Mike to get closure and find himself after leaving the Sattelite.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein the camera symbolizes Eric Kurtzke placing Baked Potatoes in the oven and closing the door. However, the weight of what's in the oven falls, causing a crater in the Kitchen; it cuts to James looking down in the crater and shouting, "GUYS!" and walking away where the oven is revealing the Number)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
And the number one moment on Mystery Science Theater 3000 featuring Mike Nelson is...

(Cut to the MST3K finale "Diabolik," "The Film Crew," and "Rifftrax" as James does a voiceover)

1) The end of MST3K as we knew it and life for Mike after MST3K

TLOTA (V.O.):
After a spectacular ten years on TV, MST3K ended with one last riff after futzing around with the Sattelite on a Joystick that breaks; the Sattelite of Love finally begins to reenter the earth, and for the last movie in Mike's Era and for A LONG time it was the final episode ever. With the MADS disbanding after this event, Pearl becomes a mad dictator of Kataar, Bobo gets a job at a Zoo, and Observer is restated somewhere deep in space. The crew in the Sattelite Of Love watched this movie based on an Italian comic book, and the riffs were hilarious. When the riff was over, seeing the Sattelite come crashing down felt symbolic of the end of the series. Had it ended on the white fade, that would've been the saddest ending to a series I would've seen. Thankfully, the bots are now with Mike as "G" becomes a tech billionaire, and Mike and The Bots enjoy life together in a studio flat and continue to riff movies together, that is, until the return of MST3K. As for what happened to Michael J Nelson after MST3K, that is an interesting postscript. A few years after the series ended, Michael, Kevin Murphy, and Bill Corbett joined forces with the people working with the company that was releasing the series on DVD on a new riffing series called "The Film Crew." However, MST3K Co-Creator Jim Mallon was giving Michael and the others Tsouris for "The Film Crew," but sadly, it was short-lived after the events with Jim Mallon. However, Michael J Nelson bounced back after getting a new job at a small production company, which led Michael to contact Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett, and with that, we got the rightful successor to MST3K called "Rifftrax"! And with no Jim Mallon to interfere, "Rifftrax" has flourished, and since then, Michael has done well for himself. Overall, I am glad for Michael for staying his course and discovering how he can keep the Riffing going after leaving the Sattelite of Love and hosting Mystery Science Theater 3000. (Cutting to James physically)

TLOTA:
Are there any MORE moments that I missed? Then let me know in the Comments section. As for the future of MST3K, there is some news about a crowdfunding project. If there is another season, I hope Michael, Kevin, and Bill return to the MST3K groove with Joel, Jonah, and Emily; however, not as Mike and the Bots. I hope Michael has just finished rebuilding the Sattelite to where it's externally and internally, like Jonah's Sattelite with Bill and Kevin. (Static cuts to Kinga Forrester on Moon One.)

Kinga Forrester:
That's a brilliant idea! (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
Kinga, you have yet to take any movies I wanted to see get riffed.  (Cut to Kinga Forrester on Moon One)

Kinga Forrester:
Well, after getting the money from what we got from replays of the last season and reruns of the classic series to pay Dr. Kabahl every dollar for funding the Gizmoplex and the repairs of the Kingadome, we need this crowdfunding project to succeed if we're going to keep torturing Jonah, Emily, and Joel! Now you want to throw the competition into the mix?! (Kinga has a "Wait a minute" look.) You know, that is a great idea! MAX! Call Earhardt and tell him to get Mike, Bill, and Kevin, AKA the guys from RIFFTRAX in the Sattelite, and do whatever he has to do to get it done. (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
Oh Crap! I may have made a big-ass boo-boo! ( The MST3K Turkey Day Hymn plays) Now it's Turkey Day Marathon time. Next Month is December, So there will be a gift guide and the top five best moments from this year's The Last Of The Americans run, and a special top ten to celebrate Ten Years' worth of reviewing, The Top Ten BEST reviews of The Last Of The Americans (So Far) to round off this year on December 21st. Until then, I'm James Faraci The Last Of The Americans, and that's my opinion! (James rushes off-screen and then says off-screen, "Crap! Push the button, James!" James pushes the button as the review shuts off; it cuts to Team TLOTA as they continue trying to break through the lock as Professor Hiram Stupidiot finishes getting everyone, including himself, sustenance to keep working.)

Professor Hiram Stupidiot:
I signed up for something else. A couple of -Inators and boom, the West Coast dominated.

TLOTA:
Don't complain, it's not good for your health!

Professor Hiram Stupidiot:
Oh, trust me, I know you can do the whole Kali-Ma Thuggee moment from "Temple Of Doom." I may be a supervillain scientist bent on taking over the entire West Coast, but I know better than to mess with you.

TLOTA:
Good, you can learn. Take what you've learned and try to get ORAC on my side. You know where it is, and you're withholding this knowledge as a bargaining chip for the entire West Coast. It will cost you one day, but get to work for now.  (Cut to a door opening as Professor Hiram Stupidiot enters ORAC's Chamber and is immediately greeted with a swift kick to the jaw.)

Professor Hiram Stupidiot:
Okay, what hit (A Boot steps on Professor Stupidiot's throat, and a Shush is heard, followed by the chamber door closing to reveal The Engineer who has been hiding since seeing the Hologram of James Faraci, The Last Of The Americans appear.)

The Engineer:
That was too close for my taste! (The Engineer picks Professor Hiram Stupidiot up.) So, any news from James or anyone else.

Professor Hiram Stupidiot:
No, and I am as worried about this situation as much as you are. ORAC, anything close to the actual James' signal.

ORAC:
Sadly, I have had no success in finding him. Now, I must ask the salient questions. One, Why are you here, Stupidiot? And Second, what is your name, Engineer?

Professor Hiram Stupidiot:
The actual James has me on a retainer to keep me out of harm's way, and while, yes, I may not be an honest man, but at least I am one hundred percent human, and I won't work for some stinking computer program. Neither will you, uh...

The Engineer:
Call me Doug!

Professor Hiram Stupidiot:
Okay, no offense, but the online world has learned not to trust everyone named Doug! But I digress, what's the next move?

Doug:
We still have some time before the locks are opened, and in trying to keep that AI from taking over, I found a lost review and supplemental review that will buy us some more time before the locks are gone. We must play it close to the chest like James would. I've been using ORAC to let anyone outside those guys on the same transmission frequency to keep anyone close to James on what's happening. (Doug shows Professor Stupidiot what Rowdy is doing on his phone.)

Professor Hiram Stupidiot:
I know him; he goes by Rowdy, and if he thinks I'm with that AI program, let's just say it won't end well. I saw firsthand his reaction to the 2011 World Series. There's a reason I sound like this; that's the reason. Contact his cats and tell them what is really going on. Now, back to the charade. (Professor Hiram Stupidiot walks out of the chamber.) So close, yet so far! (The Chamber closes as it cuts to black)

Top 10 moments of Joel Hodgson (Robinson) on Mystery Science Theater 3000

(Opening begins at the 0:36-end mark from the theme from the final season of American Gladiators' original run play. The camera pulls back to see James and everyone else on top of a slab with the words "The Last Of The Americans" on it before cutting to James in his office)

TLOTA:
I'm James Faraci The Last Of The Americans and the views that I'm about to express are that of my own and some of yours. Well, MST3K is back (Cut to the "Groundhog Day" clip of Bill Murray saying "Again!" Cut to James physically). The Gizmoplex is a success. As for the new episodes? (Cut to clips from the new episodes as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (V.O.):
The "Gamera vs. Jiger" episode has one of the most hilarious endings to an episode; there have been some really great riffs. However, I have had a couple of Vietnam Flashbacks. "The Million Eyes of Sumuru" was produced by the same people who made "Castle Of Fu Manchu" and if I were to have done a "Top ten worst movies on MST3K" revised list, I would put "Munchie" in the number 2 spot, bump "Hobgoblins" down to third and keep "Fu Manchu" at the number one spot. But I also liked the secondary host of Emily and the return of a man to reclaim his crown and throne as the king of MST3K... Joel Hodgson, AKA Joel Robinson! And today, I am celebrating his return to the Satellite Of Love and ten of his best moments. (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
So let's send Joel the Movie sign salute and celebrate the best moments of Joel Hodgson, AKA Joel Robinson of Mystery Science Theater 3000!

(Cut to a field as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, and a camera looks around, James Pops up in Camo and starts shooting, and The camera drops. Cut to the inside of an oven where what the camera symbolizes and James looking in before closing the door and the words "Top 10 moments of Joel Hodgson (Robinson) on Mystery Science Theater 3000" are shown, and James closes the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 10
(Cut to the KTMA era/ Season 0 MST3K moments as James does a voiceover)

10) The KTMA era

TLOTA (V.O.):
While the impetus of what the series would be was there, it was clear that one of the things that kept the series on the right track and that was Joel Hodgson, who plays Joel Robinson. And yeah, after KTMA had to reformat its programming, MST3K was off until Joel used the footage from this era to convince the Comedy Channel, which eventually became Comedy Central. It became a hit for the network. It was also the progenitor moment that would lead to many great things, including Internet Reviewing as we know it. Who knew that back at the end of the 1980s, a little low-budget show from Minnesota would make so much greatness happen. Joel Hodgson knew.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein what the camera symbolizes and Olivia looks in, uses a Bulb Baster, and closes the door, revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 9
(Cut to clips of "The Crawling Eye." as James does a voiceover)

9) "The Crawling Eye."

TLOTA (V.O.):
To many who saw this episode, they saw history in the making. The first time America saw Joel Hodgson as Joel Robinson, we were introduced to riffing on bad movies. This was when the series was starting to get its sea legs, and for anyone who saw it and where MST3K eventually did go, the foundation was set in this episode. While yes, J. Elvis Weinstein, who played Dr. Erhardt and Tom Servo in that first season and in the KTMA era, left at the end of that first season, the fertile ground was planted, and what grew out from this episode was the greatness, Joel had seen in this episode.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein the camera symbolizes Renee putting a Dressing dish in the oven and closing the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 8
(Cut to clips of "Rocket Attack USA" as James does a voiceover)

8) "Rocket Attack USA."

TLOTA (V.O.):
As Joel finishes up a Robot Haircut, an invention exchange, and a part of a serial short from "The Phantom Creeps." we get to see Joel and the bots show all the cold war paranoia in all its glory. From the mocking of the McCarthy hearings, A Cold War-based game show, and meeting with Sori Andropoli to the riffs on the movie, which are hilariously great. But again, in the end, like I said in my last Top ten on MST3K about Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank, it gave the MADs one of the biggest wins against Joel and The Bots. I liked it because Joel took to task the paranoia we need to get comfortable with again, especially with this world falling to pieces. And as Joel and The Bots say in disgust as the narrator says, "We Cannot Let This Be The End!" I agree with Joel and The Bots when they say, "OH YES, WE CAN!"

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein the camera symbolizes Paulo and Brenda Fonseca putting their homemade Croissant Rolls in the oven and closing the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 7
(Cut to clips of the "Gamera" movies as James does a voiceover)

7) The Gamera movies

TLOTA (V.O.):
These movies were put on the map thanks to Joel and the Bots riffing these movies from here to Japan. Seven movies featuring the gigantic turtle who happens to be friends of children everywhere. One of the best ones had Michael J Nelson as Michael Feinstein talking about how much the Gamera theme means to music and Michael is a great pianist. What else can be said or sung in this case except (Singing): Gamera! Gamera! Gamera is really neat! Gamera is full of meat! We just ate a Gamera!"

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein what the camera symbolizes, and Nick Yaun puts a Green Bean Casserole in the oven and closes the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 6
(Cut to clips of "Attack Of The Eye Creatures" as James does a voiceover)

6) "Attack Of The Eye Creatures."

TLOTA (V.O.):
What can be said about this one is that it has some of the craziest riffs, and at the center of it is Joel Robinson trying to keep the riffs on track. While yeah, "Attack Of The Eye Creatures" is one of the worst movies ever shown on MST3K, the lack of technical competency, horrible writing, and acting are just a few things wrong with this movie; the riffs and the host moments are what keeps it entertaining. Even when Joel and the bots went over how much everyone in the movie didn't care, it was entertaining to hear how everyone in "Attack Of The Eye Creatures" didn't care. You have Joel to thank if you didn't know how good the riff was.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein the camera symbolizes Rebecca Yaun moving the Stuffing over, placing a Sweet Potato Pie in the oven, and closing the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 5
(Cut to "Soultaker" as James does a voiceover)

5) Joel's first return to the Satellite Of Love in the episode "Soultaker."

TLOTA (V.O.):
After a decade on the air, after  Comedy Central gave it the ax, and some time on the Sci-Fi Channel, Barry Diller, the man who won both the USA and SCI-FI Channel, ended the series. But the first episode of the final season showed the Satellite Of Love starting to fall apart. Mike tries to keep the Satellite afloat, but Mike's efforts are like putting a bandaid on the Titanic after it hits the iceberg! All while riffing Soultaker, Another ship is trying to get aboard; it's in the third act of the episode that we finally see who it is that's been trying to get onto the Satellite, like an angel coming from on high; Joel returns to repair the Satellite. While yes it would've been interesting to see Mike and Joel riff the movie's ending. Joel was there to repair the Satellite of Love; he didn't have time to join in riffing a movie. Though I wish we did see the two riff a movie together on MST3K. But Joel's return to rescue the Satellite Of Love was a sign of what would eventually happen for Joel.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground wherein the camera symbolizes and John Ross Santos moving the Croissant Rolls and placing them in a tray of 100 Pigs In A Blanket in the oven and closing the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 4
(Cut to "Santa Claus Conquers The Martians" as James does a voiceover)

4) Santa Claus Conquers The Martians

TLOTA (V.O.):
You will never forget the first episode of MST3K you ever watch. I SO love this episode! Set during the holidays, there was only one movie Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank could send Joel. "Santa Claus Conquers The Martians," and when they went to town, I laughed as they took this holiday ham to town! Then there is the Patrick Swayze Christmas song, which, thanks to YouTube's policies, has kept many of us from using it in the videos about this movie and the riff! But suffice it to say, Crow was right! It has become a Christmas standard as has this riff on the movie. If you haven't seen it, check this riff out, it's enough to get the Grinch and Ebenezer Scrooge in with the joyous parts of the holidays!

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein the camera symbolizes and Mike Santos as He places corn in the oven and closes the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 3
(Cut to "Mitchell" as James does a voiceover)
3) Joel's escape from the Satellite Of Love from the episode: "Mitchell."

(Show the clip of Dr. Forrester shouting, "WHAT?! JOEL ESCAPED FROM THE SATELLITE OF LOVE?!" Cut to the MST3K episode "Mitchell" as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (V.O.):
We all know Joel left because Jim Mallon and Joel's professional relationship went down the drain. But the thing is, the episode was such a perfect transition from Joel's era to Mike's; I dare say it's on par with how the producers of Power Rangers made the transition from Amy Jo Johnson's Kimberly Hart to Catherine Sutherland's Katherine Hillard. But the way Joel just handled everything behind the scenes for the transition was excellent. For Joel, he thought it was going to be another experiment when Gypsy, Oh, I'm sorry, it's not that anymore because people have the I.Q. of Yogurt said "IT SMART TO DO DAT! WE NEED NAMA CHENGE TO SOMETHING ELSE?! GPC?! DAT BETTER NOW I GO AND MAKE A NEW LAW TO STOP COMMON SNESE! I A POLITICIAM!", Sorry got off track! At any rate, Gypsy or GPC or Whatever it is overhears Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank saying they're going to eighty-six someone. G thinks it's Joel, so for the rest of the host segments, G has to devise an idea to get Joel off the ship. Working with Mike Nelson, who was working as a temp at Deep 13, helps G find the escape pod on Deck 14, and as the experiment ends, we say goodbye to Joel and hello to Mike in the best way possible.

Number 2
(Cut to clips of "MANOS: The Hands Of Fate" as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA(V.O.):
Yep, going back to this well again. I enjoy this one because this was perfect fodder for riffing. We have Frank Conniff, AKA TV's Frank found this, Best Brains decided to see how it would work and it was set for the fourth season finale. What made it great was when Joel tried to keep everyone from cracking like eggs. Whether it was making fun of the endless driving scenes, helping the bots relax with a mid-movie massage, tried to make fun of "The Master", Screaming at the movie to "DO SOMETHING?!", or even just accepting the madness of the movie. While yes, both the MADs do apologize for sending them this movie. I found Joel being able to control himself during a movie that would've driven most to... (Static interrupts James as he says, "What's Going on here?" then the static breaks through to see Joel Hodgson)

Joel Hodgson:
Hi James! (Cut to James)

TLOTA:
JOEL HODGSON?! (Cut to Joel Hodgson)

Joel Hodgson:
The one and only, and I was hoping that I could chime in before you went into what I was hoping would be the number one moment of mine on MST3K.  (Cut to James)

TLOTA:
I'll send you my list right now, Joel! (Cut to Joel as he looks over the list)

Joel Hodgson:
Wow, Okay, That's at Number one? Would you mind if I talked about Number one with you? (Cut to James)

TLOTA:
I would be honored!

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, wherein the camera symbolizes and Eric Kurtzke placing Baked Potatoes in the oven and closing the door. However, the weight of what's in the oven falls, causing a crater in the Kitchen; as it cuts to James looking down in the crater and shouting, "GUYS!" and walking away where the oven is revealing the Number)

Joel Hodgson (Voiceover):
The Number One moment on Mystery Science Theater 3000 featuring me is...

(Cut to clips of "I Accuse My Parents" as Joel Hodgson and James do voiceovers)

1) "I Accuse My Parents"

Joel Hodgson (V.O.):
Between this episode and "Hercules Unchained" this was MST3K at it's best. I loved every moment in both the riffing and the jokes in the host segments. Even the invention exchange was hilarious, partly thanks to Trace and Frank. Their energy when they were trying to rescue Rodney when their Invention goes south.

TLOTA (V.O.):
I loved it when you and the bots called out the lies and the (Cut to the clips of Joel and The Bots shouting "LIAR! LIAR! LIAR! at the right times in the movie.) Then of course, the moment you tried to make sense of the Psychological Hot mess of young Jimmy. (Show the clip in which Joel and the bots try to start to understand Jimmy as they have a diagram and a spinning diorama about Jimmy's mental illness. Cut to further clips of "I Accuse My Parents" as Joel Hodgson and James do voiceovers)

Joel Hodgson (V.O.):
I love that this episode is your favorite moment of mine on MST3K.

TLOTA (V.O.):
And I love that this moment is the number one moment featuring you at the center of the experiments. Now while yes, your return on the recent season was a great moment. To me nothing will fully top the moment you and the bots tried to figure out why Jimmy said "I Accuse My Parents" for all he did in this movie and it is worthy of the number one spot of the best moments featuring Joel Hodgson on MST3K. (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
Any other moments featuring Joel in any of the MST3K episodes he was in, then let me know in the Comment Section below. And Joel, thanks for being so appreciative for allowing me to do this list. (Cut to Joel)

Joel Hodgson:
Well I appreciate it when fans are honest with me and my work. So you really have been getting Vietnam Flashbacks to some of the seasons past from this season? (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
Well, certain movies being riffed, Yeah! (Cut to James as the MST3K Turkey Day Hymn is playing.)

TLOTA:
Gotta go! MST3K Turkey Day marathon calls! Next Month Holiday shopping gift guide and year-end Top 10. Until then I'm James Faraci The Last Of The Americans and That's my opinion. (Cut to Joel Hodgson)

Joel Hodgson:
Well guys, James finished his list, What do you think guys? (Camera pulls back to show everyone on MST3K as they give the OKAY signal then everyone shouts "IT STINKS!" as the camera shuts off in the same manor of an MST3K episode.)

The Top Ten moments of Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank on MST3K

(0:36-end mark from the theme from the final season of American Gladiators original run play the camera moves back to see James on top of the slab with the words "The Last Of The Americans" on it before cutting to James in his office physically)

TLOTA:
I'm James Faraci, The Last Of The Americans, and the views I'm about to express are that of my own & some of yours.  And like a phoenix, MST3K is rising from the ashes of the fires of cancellation once again.  (Cut to the MST3K 2021 crowdfunding videos as James does a voiceover.)

TLOTA (V.O.):
However, this time around, instead of the team going to Netflix or some other streaming channel, this time they're making their own streaming app called The Gizmoplex which will be available on streaming services, and when it does, I am hoping they will do some incredible moments especially with the MADS Dr. Kinga Forrester and T.V.'s Max, Son Of T.V.'s Frank played by Felicia Day & Patton Oswald. Now let me make this clear, I have nothing against Kinga and T.V.'s Max, Son of T.V.'s Frank, or Pearl Forrester, Bobo and Brain Guy; however, when I think of the MADS (The guys in charge of sending the bad movie to Joel or Mike and tormenting either of them seeing if they will psychologically break.) I think of Dr. Clayton Forrester, played by Trace Beaulieu, and T.V.'s Frank, played by Frank Conniff. These were two very vitriolic towards each other and towards Joel or Mike. While they would fail miserably in breaking either Joel or Mike, they were entertaining in all the ways they did make Joel or Mike watch the movies, and today, I am celebrating both of them (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
There will be cheats at the ten and one spot on this list; spoilers will happen, and anything I can add to the moment I will talk about. With that said, let's see the top ten moments of Dr. Clayton Forrester and T.V.'s Frank on MST3K.

(Cut to a field as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground, and a camera looks around, and Dr. Clayton Forrester pops up shouting "FRANK!" and starts shooting, and The camera drops. Cut to the inside of an oven where what the camera symbolizes and Dr. Clayton Forrester puts T.V.'s Frank's head looking in before closing the door and the words "Top 10 moments of Dr. Clayton Forrester and T.V.'s Frank on Mystery Science Theater 3000" are shown and Dr. Forrester closes the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 10
(Cut to clips of the MST3K episodes "The Crawling Eye" & "Rocketship X.M." as James does a voiceover)

10) Meeting both Dr. Forrester and T.V.'s Frank

TLOTA (V.O.):
I know that the pilot and the second season premiere are different from night and day, but there is a reason for it being here. When we meet Dr. Forrester, played by Trace Beaulieu, he has dignity as he tries to break Joel Robinson, played by Joel Hodgson, and he had someone who did well as a partner for Dr. Forrester, Dr. Laurence Erhardt played by J. Elvis Weinstein however after that first season something happened to J. Elvis Weinstein that said to him that he needed to leave. His departure left two prominent roles to replace. The first one was filled automatically by T.V.'s Frank, played by Frank Conniff, and the replacement voice, which became the definitive voice of Tom Servo Kevin Murphy.  This actually worked better because instead of an equal like Dr. Erhardt, TV's Frank was the perfect foil driving Dr. Forrester nuts, but still, there would be something that kept the two together as long as they did.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground where what the camera symbolizes and T.V.'s Frank looking in and using a Bulb Baster in the oven and Dr. Forrester shouting "FRANK!" as he closes the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 9

(Cut to clips of the MST3K episode "Gamera" as James does a voiceover)

9) Their least successful experiment, "Gamera."

TLOTA (V.O.):
Let me explain; yeah, this movie was terrible, and Kenny drove me mad as well. However, at the end of the film. Joel and the bots were sad and had their riffs in. And while the MADS' impact is minimal. What made it clear is that the movie would be the first of many, MANY rounds with the super Kaiju turtle, and it would be up to Forrester and Frank to keep the crazy movies featuring him going and as the films went and on. You can see the failures of these movies hurting Dr. Forrester and T.V.'s Frank and having to up their torment game.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground where what the camera symbolizes and Dr. Forrester putting in a Dressing dish with T.V.'s Frank brains in the oven and closing the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 8

(Cut to clips of the MST3K "Turkey Day '91" as James does a voiceover)

8) The First MST3K Turkey Day Marathon

TLOTA (V.O.):
Frank tries to prepare a Thanksgiving feast with guests like The Mole People, The Plant Guy, and one VERY drunk Jack Perkins. All the while, Dr. Forrester is trying to break us with endless episodes of MST3K. While Frank does end the experiment for Clayton, it does end with our duo acting the way they would at the end of the holiday. This showed our pair in a more domesticated light but still seeing Clayton unable to stop even during Thanksgiving. But I say enjoy these clips on YouTube. Speaking of YouTube, feel free to join me at the number 7 spot for the next moment.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground  where what the camera symbolizes and T.V.'s Frank putting in their homemade Croissant Rolls in the oven in the oven and Dr. Forrester shouting "FRANK!" as he closes the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 7

(Cut to clips of the MST3K Vol. 10.2 upgrade seminar as James does a voiceover)

7)The MST3K Vol. 10.2 upgrade seminar

TLOTA (V.O.):
For a fan like me, seeing Joel, Trace, and Frank return to MST3K was fantastic, but there's a bit that needs to be discussed. Here's the scenario. Best Brains and Rhino entertainment, The then distributors of the MST3K DVD collections, screwed the pooch as they failed to get the rights to a Godzilla movie that the gang had riffed. Then they had to replace it with The Giant Gila Monster, and to help Joel put the red jumpsuit back on, Trace performed Crow once again, and this time Frank Conniff performed as Tom Servo to help make sure this problem was rectified. However, seeing them return at that point, just to save Rhino and Jim Mallon instead of maybe I don't know trying to iron out the issues, but still, any moment that had Dr. Forrester and T.V.'s Frank return is worthy of this list.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground where what the camera symbolizes and Dr. Forrester puts in a Green Bean Casserole smothered in T.V.'s Frank's shattered skull in the oven and closing the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 6
(Cut to clips of the MST3K episode "Village Of The Giants" as James does a voiceover)

6) Frank gets fired from the episode: "Village Of The Giants."

TLOTA (V.O.):
Apparently, keeping a guy trapped on a Satellite and forcing him to endlessly endure one bad movie after another is becoming pricey. Specific cuts had to be done to the budget. Therefore Frank was fired from his duties as Dr. Forrester's henchman. While Frank was slumming it until he was replaced by Torgo from "MANOS: The Hands of Fate," it isn't until the end of the third act that he finally decided to fight to get his job back. By the end of the episode, and Frank returned to work as Dr. Forrester's lackey. While it was fun to see what it would be like for Frank to fight for what he deserved and what he deserved was to be employed by Dr. Forrester and help torment Mike with Dr. Forrester. And this wouldn't be the last time saying goodbye will be on this list.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground where what the camera symbolizes and T.V.'s Frank moving the Stuffing over and placing a Sweet Potato Pie in the oven in the oven and Dr. Forrester shouting "FRANK!" as he closes the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 5
(Cut to clips of the MST3K episode "Mitchell" as James does a voiceover)

5) Joel's escape from the Satellite Of Love from the episode: "Mitchell."

(Show the clip of Dr. Forrester shouting, "WHAT?! JOEL ESCAPED FROM THE SATELLITE OF LOVE?!" Cut to the MST3K episode "Mitchell" as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (V.O.):
We all know the backstory about how Joel was leaving after this episode but what put this episode here is the transition of the hosts and the story in the episode. As Joel is thinking, "Okay, this is just another experiment, nothing too big or bad." Gypsy, as performed as Jim Mallon, intercepts a call from Frank & Forrester.  While Gypsy is thinking that after failure after failure of trying to break Joel. The two are going to kill Joel instead. However, if Gypsy had opened the contact earlier, Gypsy would realize Forrester and Frank were talking about Mike Nelson, played by Michael J Nelson. With Gypsy having to find a way to save Joel. Gypsy calls Mike to set the release of Joel back to our world. However, when the MADS try to rescue Joel and shove Joel back on board, it's a moot point as Joel landed in the Australian outback. (Cut to the ending of the episode as Dr. Forrester and Frank look at Mike, and the two laugh and choose him to send up to the Satellite Of Love. Cut to the episode as James does a voiceover)

TLOTA (V.O.):
It was a great episode and an excellent moment for Joel, Forrester, and Frank.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground where what the camera symbolizes and Dr. Forrester moving the Croissant Rolls and placing in a tray of 100 Pigs In A Blanket made from T.V.'s Frank's organ meat in the oven and closing the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 4
(Cut to clips of the MST3K episode "The Castle Of Fu Manchu" as James does a voiceover)

4) The second closest victory Forrester and Frank would have: "The Castle Of Fu Manchu."

TLOTA (V.O.):
I've already discussed how this episode nearly broke Joel and the bots in my Top ten worst episodes of MST3K list but seeing Dr. Forrester and T.V.'s Frank enjoy every soul-crushing moment of Joel and the bots as they try to riff and make jokes only to have the trio ultimately wind up crying in agony is something I can relate to. But just when it looks like Dr. Forrester and Frank will win, Joel gives them the biggest Screw You Two Blue Moment as Dr. Forrester, and T.V.'s Frank try to riff on "Castle Of Fu Manchu" badly, might I add, This moment happens. (Cut to the clip of Frank saying, "You know we could've made funny comments, but the movie wasn't that good." and the ending of the episode. Cut to clips of the episode as James doing a voiceover.)

TLOTA (V.O.):
An excellent ending to let us know that even as close to victory as they got but at the number two spot, the two really got their most significant victory

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground where what the camera symbolizes and T.V.'s Frank as He places corn in the oven and Dr. Forrester shouting "FRANK!" as he closes the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 3
(Cut to clips of the MST3K episode "MANOS: The Hands Of Fate" as James does a voiceover)

3) The one that Dr. Forrester and T.V.'s Frank apologized for: "Manos: The Hands Of Fate."

TLOTA (V.O.):
It was interesting how this movie is the only experiment the two actually apologized for sending to Joel and The Bots! Think about it, out of all the movies which included "Monster A-Go-Go," "The Sidehackers," "Catalina Caper," "The Castle Of Fu Manchu," "Attack Of The Eye Creatures," "EEGAH!", EVERY SINGLE EXPERIMENT THAT JOEL HAD TO ENDURE, AND DR. FORRESTER & T.V.'s FRANK NEVER APOLOGIZED FOR THEM! It was THIS movie which, in the grand scheme of films, is not the worst movie Joel and the bots had to endure, and it is this movie that they apologize. Okay, granted, these apologies happen at different times, but still, it was a nice gesture to know that even Dr. Forrester and T.V.'s Frank have their limits as to where they'll go to get the win over Joel and The Bots. However, speaking of their biggest successes.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground where what the camera symbolizes and Dr. Forrester placing a Pumpkin and Apple Pie with a crust made by T.V.'s Frank shoulder blades in the oven before closing the door revealing the Number.)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
Number 2
(Cut to clips of the MST3K episode "Rocket Attack USA" as James does a voiceover)

2) Their biggest yet the least talked about victory: "Rocket Attack USA."

TLOTA (V.O.):
That's right, this movie, not "Manos: The Hands Of Fate," "Castle Of Fu Manchu," NONE of these movies did as much damage as "Rocket Attack USA" did. While they didn't blubber or cry and get so despondent that they'd be broken. It did something worse to Joel and The Bots. It got them so upset they couldn't focus on anything except how bad the movie was. (Show clip of Tom Servo, Crow, and Joel as they talk about the film. Cut to the rest of the episode as James does a voiceover.)

TLOTA (V.O.):
This episode destroyed the joy of movie-watching for Joel and The Bots, and for me, that's the most significant victory for Forrester and Frank. Yet very few people think much of the episode. To me, this experiment is their most successful because if they had kept doing those types of movies, I think we'd be under Dr. Forrester's control, and given the people in charge right now, I'd gladly take Dr. Forrester in charge.

(Cut to the inside of an oven as "Turkey In The Straw" plays in the foreground where what the camera symbolizes and T.V.'s Frank placing in Baked Potatoes in the oven and closing the door. However, the weight of what's in the oven to fall, causing a crater in the Kitchen as it cuts to Dr. Forrester looking down in the crater and shouting "FRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK!" and walking away from where the oven was revealing the Number)

TLOTA (Voiceover):
And The Number one moment of Dr. Clayton Forrester and T.V.'s Frank is...
(Cut to clips of the MST3K episodes "Samson vs. The Vampire Women" & "Laserblast" as James does a voiceover)

1) Saying goodbye to Dr. Forrester and T.V.'s Frank

TLOTA (V.O.):
I know that these are two different episodes but knowing that this will be the last time we'd see them on the show was pretty sad to see. Seeing T.V.'s Frank being summoned to second banana heaven and being led thereby Torgo. Then we have the moment in which Dr. Forrester hears the news. He then goes into possibly the most emotionally charged song, and it was about how he'll miss making Frank suffer and how in his own demented way how much Clayton loved being with Frank. And to Trace's credit, he sang so beautifully about T.V.'s Frank. However, he had to become the second banana himself as Pearl, played by Mary Jo Pehl, came into the picture. While he did try to regain his standings as the head of the two MADS, it seemed that Pearl was dragging him down until Comedy Central canceled the series, which ultimately led to Dr. Forrester doing the "2001: A Space Oddessy" ending, thus writing Dr. Forrester out for good. While the series would continue after their departure and there were plenty of great episodes and funny riffs. For many saying goodbye to Dr. Forrester and T.V.'s, Frank remains the swan song of the series. But for me, knowing that they were gone and had met their fates is the Number One moment because it had to happen. (Cut to the clip at the end of the "Who Will I Kill?" song as Dr. Forrester says, "Goodbye Frank, and remember wherever you are, I will kill you!" Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
Are there any moments that you think I missed?  Then let me know in the comments section (Static breaks as it cuts to T.V.'s Frank as played by Frank Conniff in a heavenly setting.)

T.V.'s Frank:
Oh, there are plenty of moments of Clay and me I can talk about. (Cut to James)

TLOTA:
T.V.'s FRANK?! (Cut to T.V.'s Frank)

T.V.'s Frank:
Back in Second Banana Heaven, and I am living it up with so many of my friends. I and so many great second bananas are enjoying a lot of what you do. (Static breaks as it cuts to Dr. Clayton Forrester as played by Trace Beaulieu in a very demonically red cave filled with magma and lava)

Dr. Clayton Forrester:
So do those who are being tortured for our sins (Mockingly): For causing my fellow man pain by making him suffer bad entertainment and hurting others! (Regularly): BAH! (Cut to James physically)

TLOTA:
DR. CLAYTON FORRESTER?!  (Cut to Dr. Clayton Forrester)

Dr. Clayton Forrester:
Yeah, and I am suffering for sending Joel and Mike all those movies! I mean, is it wrong to overthrow generations of corruption just to be as corrupt, if not worse. Nothing out of your mouth Frank! (Cut to T.V.'s Frank)

T.V.'s Frank:
Well, there was a moment in which you had gotten beaten by the mafia for the fifty grand, and I had to take care of you while Mike watched "Red Zone Cuba." Oh, and remember when Joel had to (Cut to Dr. Forrester)

Dr. Forrester:
FRANK! He said for us to leave the moments in the comments section. (Cut to James)

TLOTA:
Um, thanks, Dr. Forrester. Before I sign off for the month and set December up, I have to ask what happened to you after you became a star child and Pearl thinking she had a second chance with you. (Cut to Dr. Forrester)

Dr. Forrester:
Well, my mother smothered me to death!. Again and this time, I wound up paying for something called my sins and now I'm down here being forced to watch bad movies 24/7! Do you know how many times I've seen this movie called "The Room" WHO IN THE HELL FINANCED THIS MOVIE? WHERE DID THIS TOMMY WISEAU COME FROM? HOW IN THE HELL DID HE STICK HIS JUNK INTO THAT GIRL'S BELLY BUTTON? WHAT IN THE HELL WAS UP WITH THE MOMENT IN THE FLOWER SHOP? THIS IS SOMETHING I WISH I HAD BEFORE I MET MY FATE! (Cut to T.V.'s Frank)

T.V.'s Frank:
